Do you not know how the justice department works? No way in hell a FISA warrant is issued related to a political campaign without top level clearance. This is especially true since much of this happened after the election.

I think the burden of proof here is clearly on you, don't you agree? That's quite a claim. It implies that there isn't a separation of powers there, and other things.

I don't have to prove anything. What we know is that the Obama administration was surveilling several members of Donald Trump's campaign and incoming transition team, and in at least two of those cases, Flynn and Pence, have committed felonies while doing so.

And yet people are claiming Trump lied because Obama himself did not literally tap Trump's wires. It's quite stupid.

You're very off the mark here and I'll explain why. You're nakedly asserting no separation of power between the presidency and the FISA court. That's factually incorrect as far as we know, and if you want to claim something like that, you have to show facts to dispute what is accepted as true.

Second, you're conflating criminal investigation with presidential directive. We don't actually know that the administration was watching his campaign. However, we do know that the FBI was. And there isn't any indication it was anything less than legal- an investigation warranted through the FISA court.

Third, you're asserting that felonies were committed when you couldn't possibly have the information to know that. You can suspect it all you like, but your suspicions are not the source of our knowledge.

You have a real problem on Trump issues, but you'll get over them in time. You're still stuck justifying all kinds of unjustifiable shit, making constant apologies, playing word games, and just making an ass of yourself. You don't seem to have these issues on other subjects that you're not personally invested in. I believe it's you doubling down on your irrational support of a fool.

Whoever outed Flynn committed a felony. That is not outside of our knowledge. What is outside of our knowledge is who it was.

Your opinion may be proven right in time, but that doesn't absolve you of responsibility for your claim that the President can order the FISA court around.

Again, you're completely ignoring the second part of my earlier post. You have no reason to believe that a theoretical unmasking of Flynn and Pence was illegal. You can't even say with certitude that Pence was swept up. You have no evidence that the warrants were issued illegally. In fact, everything we've heard is that they were issued in the standard correct fashion.

It's also disingenuous to say that "the Obama Administration" surveilled some of Trump's team. They may have been caught up in a FISA warrant that was targeted at a foreign national. The other alternative is that they were being targeted as part of a criminal FBI investigation and were legitimate targets without a tangential relationship to foreign actors. In either case, it was the FBI looking at them. The same FBI that is currently investigating Trump's campaign. They are hardly qualified to be referred to as, "the Obama Administration".

I never claimed any such thing. The clear and obvious point I was making is that the justice department would not likely ask for a warrant to surveill a presidential campaign without clearance from on high.

Yes, I do. Unmasking American citizens caught in a surveillance where they are not the target is a felony. It was talked about at length by FBI director Comey and by the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee during the hearings a few days ago.

I responded to the part of your post that was factually incorrect. That's not what the FBI director said or the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Nunes stated that an investigation was under way to determine the source of the leak that unmasked Flynn, as a felony appeared to have been committed. I'm going to have to take their word over yours unless you can give me a solid source.
