Like you said, there might not be another Demetrious Johnson again.
I’ve submitted a small piece of mixed martial arts… But right now, I don’t see anybody anytime soon who can replicate what I’ve done in mixed martial arts."

In the same interview, DJ said ONE's equal focus on MMA, Muay Thai, KB and submission grappling is what separates it from the competition:

"Yeah, 1000% that's what I think separates ONE Championship from the rest of the competition.
It's not a mixed martial arts organization. It is the organization that celebrates all forms of martial arts."

MM is definitely the best FLW of all time and he really doesn't have any competition for that. I feel like he ran out of contenders around 2014 and could have easily had an even stronger all time resume if he went up to BW but judging him based on what he actually did and not what he hypothetically could have done, his legacy has aged quite well. He displayed well rounded skills, faced a variety of different stylistic threats, and had an extremely lengthy run on top.

He is absolutely in the midst of the top 10 best fighters of all time and LOL @ anyone who ranks Khabib above him. Losses happen when you consistently face top competition and don't cherry pick opponents before running away in the middle of your prime. I'll take an elite resume with some spread out blemishes over a flawless resume filled with cans and favorable match-ups.

Pantoja might give him a run for his money

I'm seeing a lot of the same. He's got a lot or repeat challengers. He's had like 3 defenses but it's hard to see him lose
I don't see him losing at FW anytime soon either, but he's already 34 (35 in April) and only has 3 defenses. Father Time isn't on his side.

He almost lost to Erceg. Not denying his skills just saying he's having some championship wars.

Striking is his weakness. He's pretty good there but Erceg showed him the path to losing. He rocked Asakura a few times... I just don't see anyone stepping up. He beat Moreno 3x, Royval twice... if there's a FLW who could beat him nowadays let me know

I know age is a number but who will beat him?

No, don't worry DJ.

Another promoter (somewhere) will find another successful fighter who arguably holds the title of GOAT and screw the everloving shit out of them.

You aren't special like that sir.

Kape has a chance. Pantoja will be 35 in his next fight. If they fight with Pantoja being 36, I got starboy as favorite.
Starboy has great striking, but as soon as he starts talking, everybody wants him to shut up.

top 10 imo is too low, He's one of the 5 IMO

Maybe if Pantoja was a little bit younger. He's about to turn 35 and historically that's been a death sentence for champions in the lower weight classes. I think he might get 2 potentially 3 more title defenses but I don't see him racking up enough title defenses to make it a real conversation. I wish Mighty mouse had been in this era though. Would love to have seen him go up against pantoja, moreno, figgy etc

So far Pantoja's built up a really solid resume and basically cleared his division, but I'm not sure how much longer he'll stay at the top to reach close to DJ's record
He's already 34 and has a lot of milleage

He's right. He stood with Rodtang and kept it relatively competitive in pure may thai.
Can you imagine anyone else having a competitive round with a world class kickboxer at pure muay Thai, whilst being an elite level grappler?

Mokaev is young enough to potentially do it, considering how weak FLW has been.
But they cut his ass lol.

Lol. Imagine if we had an Oscar award for little people.

The concept of P4P is completely reasonable. But don't get ahead of yourself if you're 5'2''.

Pantoja is very gold but will never be on DJ's level.

As a Pantoja fan, I must agree.

If you think about what "MMA" means, it means Mixed Marshall Artist.

Prime DJ's set of elite, fluid multi-dimensional skills was unrivaled by anyone I've ever seen.

Even Jon Jones had to admit this, years ago, literally calling DJ "The GOAT" at one point, due to Johnson's incredible accomplishments + athleticism + overall skill set.
