"She's never faced anyone like me," Tate said Monday at a UFC media lunch. "I also think her mentality, her mental, that's a big weakness, honestly."

"I don't think that Amanda really likes to get hit," Tate said. "I think she thinks she likes to get it, but I don't think she does. I think she likes to be delivering. And if she's winning, it's great. But when she's not, when she's put in that spot of adversity, she tends to break.

"I wouldn't put it past me to stand and bang with Amanda, too," Tate said. "I've been getting much more confident on my feet and I don't feel like I need to take this fight to the ground. I think what my goal is in this fight is to break her. That's it. No matter how."

Meh 9 times out of 10 when a fighter says that they tend to do the opposite. Tate is going to utilize dat wrestling

Miesha via spinning backfist

She might stand with her in the clinch, but she won't be boxing/kick boxing with her. Not if she's smart anyways.

if thats the plan she might as well just give Nunes the belt and not bother fighting her

I hope Tate wins. I also hope if somehow she is losing the stand-up, she gets to her strength. She had shitty game plans for ronda 2 and cat fights. She should be the better fighter all around though.

Tate is a smart fighter she's not going to just stand and bang to prove a point

Meh. I don't think Tate is serious. Could be a mental game. Tate has grown a lot in fight IQ, and will stick with what works. I do agree that she is mentally tougher than Nunes, though.

I am seriously doubtful on her trying to stand and bang with Amanda..

Miesha is likely just trying to make Amanda more emotional in the fight to burn out her energy quicker. I'm expecting Tate to win a grueling fight.

But if there is anyone who is capable of a round 1 win, its Amanda. And Herb Dean is the ref.

her gameplan is going to be identical to carraway's gameplan vs. sterling. she will probably lose the first round and then grind out a decision victory.

She stood with Holly (partially because she couldn't take her down at times) and survived.

She could do it against Nunes if required.

Both Brian and Miesha's stand up has improved out of sight in the last 2 years.

She'll most likely LnP for 2 rounds then stand and bang when Nunes has nothing left, after that she'll probably claim that she outstruck a dangerous striker which will be ridiculous. Tate has some of the worst striking I've ever seen.
