Mid-air Collusion (Mueller Thread v. 19)

Starr never should have been looking into President Clinton's sexual life or the firing of the Travel Office staff. President Clinton was dragged through the mud because of prosecutorial overreach. It was completely unnecessary and a waste of resources.

It's not a linguistic argument. The current wording allows Mueller's team to look into literally anything that might interest them. If Mueller were to make a hard swerve into Pizzagate and Jade Helm territory, something tells me you wouldn't be arguing that side. The current purview of the Mueller probe is unlimited. Civil liberties be damned.

How unfortunate that you support a President that can't stand the test of probe with an unlimited scope.

It's like you're upset that they're going to find his crimes.

Wouldn't you prefer a President without a criminal past?

Trump is absolutely past his prime.

Clearly you don’t understand muddying the waters. The president has a number of lawyers, they each play their role.

One of them apparently has the role of cooperating directly with Mueller.

???

You realize there are punishments other than jail, right?

You realize that the main focus of this thread is those who have, cooperated with the F.B.I., those on trial, and those who have pleaded outright guilty?

People getting 20 lashes with a wet piece of lasagna pasta ain't cutting it.

I don't support Trump. I am not a team player.

If any crimes were committed, then I hope Mueller's team follows protocol and reveals them.

You truly are a newcomer to politics. It’s cute how you think what “should be” has anything to do with “what is”. Hint, it doesn’t.

Oh, and you’re wrong. The IG is in fact, conducting investigations. Numerous individuals have already faced the consequences of their actions.

Haha do you make shit up in ALL aspects of your life or just here?

Then why complain about the scope? The scope was granted by Congress, our elected officials, in the face of overwhelming evidence.

If he's clean he's clean.

Yeah, except Trump has congress, the senate, and his own powers. He has absolute power over Mueller, and he's just looking for a reason to pull that trigger.

Trump isn't just some random US citizen, he's the president of the United States and he has more than enough legal protection to prevent him from being railroaded by a baseless investigation if that were the actual case.

I don't know, and you certainly don't.

You've been way off from the start and I've been much closer to the truth of the matter for the entire time.

That is the most laughable thing on shartdog. I’ve literally not been wrong a single time on the russia investigation. In fact, I made a thread about trump being spied on a day before it broke on major news outlets.

Trump will walk.

The entire left and the national media outlets will look like fools.

I’ll be here like,

<5>

If he's clean he's clean.

The same reason I opposed the USA PATRIOT Act, Bush's warrantless wiretapping of American citizens, widespread NSA surveillance, and the broken FISA process. Just because something is congressionally authorized doesn't make it right.

Then why do you support the party that authorized both the Patriot Act and the Mueller investigation?

I don't know, and you certainly don't.
The chance of Trump being removed from office as the result of the Mueller investigation is effectively 0%. I will gladly put my AV on the line to defend that prediction.

I'm not.

And not because I think he's innocent of any crimes.

But because even if he's guilty of crimes the Republicans that control the government just won't act on it.

Mueller won't indict Trump on even one charge. Agree?

Donald Trump behaves as though there's no chance the investigation will clear him. Which it could very well do.

But to listen to him bitch-whine, you'd guess he's guilty as hell.
