McDonald's testing bigger, smaller Big Macs

NEW YORK (AP) — McDonald's is testing bigger and smaller versions of its Big Mac as the world's biggest hamburger chain pushes to revive its business.

The company says it's testing a "Grand Mac" and "Mac Jr." in the central Ohio and the Dallas areas, and will see how they do before deciding on a national rollout.

The Grand Mac is made with two one-sixth-pound beef patties, which may be a way for the company to make its famous burger more substantial as burger competitors have made the regular Big Mac seem skimpy to some. It will sell for $4.89.

The Mac Jr. is basically a single-layer Big Mac, and McDonald's says it's "easier to eat on the go." That will sell for between $2.39 and $2.59.

They size they are using now is already smaller then the original Big Mac

So the "Grand Mac" will really be just the normal size it used to be

Until they can make it taste like an actual hamburger, they really need not worry about this other stuff.

I like the Big Mac but I always feel like I'm getting ripped off when I order one, same with the Filet-o-Fish. That shit should be on the dollar menu.

"revive its business"?
I didn't know it was dying. Everywhere I go it's the one burger joint that ALWAYS has a line and seems busy.

My fav is the McChicken, but its a ripoff, and I end up getting jr. chicken which is roughly 2/3 of the size with a similar taste. No way am I paying $7 when I can get 2/3 of the burger for $1.39 (Canada)

The shits I take after eating their products are human rights violations.
Guess you should stay away from Chipotle then

I would need to buy 6 if thats the size they are seriously making it. I'm a man for christ sake
A fat man? A young man? I used to be able to put away the Big Macs in my teens/early-20s. Once my metabolism slowed down, I get full off one BM. Same with In N Out, I used to put away two double doubles. Now, I'm good with a single cheeseburger.
