Fair enough. It wasn't visible in real time though, and a wound like that generally bleeds immediately, so the base evidence suggests that it happened later on in the sequence of events.

When he was standing, we could see his face pretty clearly, and no blood appeared. Not that that's 100% proof, but it has to factor into forming our opinion on when the wound occurred.
