Michael Johnson most underrated LW on the roster

His fight IQ is pretty bad. In the Nate Diaz fight all he threw was 1 two's and made zero adjustments. Still top 10 LW though.

Rashid Magomedov is easily one of the most underrated fighters on the UFC roster

4-0 in the UFC completely unfazed by the competition thus far

Yeah Johnson is very talented for sure, I was laughing my ass off when Before the fight Pettis said himself and Barboza are the best strikers at 155, hahaha. Johnson would use Pettis as a punching bag, he has seriously fast hands and very crisp. He has the fastest hands at LW.
He may have fastest hands but he doesn't have the best hands.

easy there pumpkin..

he had a great gameplan against barboza but that wasnt "smashing". It was Michael's best fight but I'd actually favor barboza in a rematch. edson has improved a lot since that fight.

He is great i love watching him. but it feels like he miss that "something" you know ? that "it" factor, that little thing that counts a lot.

Top 10 in the UFC LW division is something special.

The rest of your post was pretty good.
Meant nothing special in terms of cracking into the top 3 or fighting for the title.

of course being in the top 10 itself is a good accomplishment.

I don't see him beating any of the top 5, but yeah he's a solid fighter in a tough weightclass, and yeah I'd pick him over Conor for sure.
Dumbest quote ever. MJ is top 5, he beat Ferg and Barboza but you think Pettis is above him? How stupid can you be?

Ferguson is 5 in Sherdog rankings. Barboza is top ten. MJ is unranked.
Therefore. Sherdog rankings=bogus.

Hell yeah. His performance against Gilbert Burns was wonderful. Almost made him give up in the 2nd round.

Well I'm not so stupid to believe that beating Tony Ferguson 5 years ago makes you a top 5 today. That win means about as much as Guida beating RDA.

Also where did I even mention Pettis?

Johnson is 4-4 in his last 8 fights. None of his wins OR loses are vs a top 5... so yeah, you're the stupid one son.

Nice spin. Everyone even the UFC knows Mike beat Dariush that is why Dariush never climbed above MJ in the UFC rankings. So MJ should be 5-1 in his last 6. Barboza is practically a fringe top 5 er after wasting Pettis, and yet you wanna minimize that. The Ferguson fight was less than 3 years and 10 months ago but nice try idiot.

LOL @ 3 years and 10 months ago. Why not just say "nearly 4 fucken years ago"? Talk about spin. It's a 4 year old fight when Ferguson was on no one's top 25, and it has absolutely no meaning in today's rankings, stop talking out of your ass.

And regardless of how you scored the Dariush fight, it was pretty even and Dariush just got tapped by a dude outside the top 10, and Johnson get smacked up by Nate Diaz who was barely a top 10... so ya Johnson is about on par with fringe top 10's like Dariush and Chiesa, just like I said.

that isn't how rankings work, but ok fair enough bro. Even if you want to play the game of "It's not rankings, it's matchups" - Do you truly and honestly believe that there are 4 or less fighters at LW that Barboza beats more often than they beat him? Johnson doesn't inherit Barboza's success since that fight just like Barboza doesn't inherit Johnson's losses since that fight.

So what do you consider a top LW then? He is 6th on the UFC website.

I reckon both Barboza and Ferguson would wreck him if they fought again today.

Nate forced him to abandon the leg kicks when he started checking them and countering with punches to the face.
Looked to me like he abandoned them after Nate hit him a couple times and MJ thought he could straight up box with him.
