For the types of movies bisping is going for he might especially as a nobodyFrom mjw? He doesn’t have that pull lmao.
Lastly cause its pouring out here. I'm actually offended at the intelligence displayed in this thread in believing Kimbo (RIP LOVE 4 KEV) has a W in the ufc and fuck8ng MJW wouldnt? MJW COULDNT? You sound Mayhem Miller crazy son.Did bisping say they moved around? Light touch? In one session? Yes. Fact.
do YOU think it’s possible to assess someone’s ability to compete at the highest level based on the above? Be honest.
Yes, a lot of claims and things that are possible, same way Ronda could take on Cain, under the right circumstances. He's a fattie claiming he can take on a pro fighter with ease, if he only lost the weight of half a person, that's a lot of circumstantial weight to lose. And it's only the weight holding him back! Of course people are going to cringe when they read that. It’s possible.
Earlier this year he claimed he was 260lbs and a year ago he claimed he was 230lbs. He’s all over the place in weight, so him losing 80lbs isn’t out of the ordinary specially when you’re on this forum.
He first said moved around. Then said light light spar. They clearly didn’t spar in any way that would be close to fighting. He literally used the word spar.
They “moved around”.....He didn’t say touch work. He said light sparring. Listen again. Stop being disingenuous.
You can go to any tma tournament and believe you are watching superior strikers to mma fighters because they throw cleaner kicks......I have no idea the totality of what Bisping saw. I have no idea what Kimbo saw in the training with MJW. I dont train with the dude I have only seen snippets of his training to be fair. From what I have seen MJW doing in training I have not seen a shred of evidence he couldn't win a couple striking battles. At the same time dude is ancient. I think people drastically overstate the quality of UFC HW strikers if you think irrefutably the dude who trained martial arts since 7 and is respected by pros wouldnt stand a chance. I mean have you looked at the striking technique of low level UFC figthers lol? I dont assess what Bisping says as anything more than the truth. MJW based on years of training, athleticism, timing, and controlling distance at a younger age would do fine in striking in the UFC. If you are asking my opinion thats what it is. I think Bisping sees the same
You’re right. I mean, I saw mjw punch kimbo’s hand.....Lastly cause its pouring out here. I'm actually offended at the intelligence displayed in this thread in believing Kimbo (RIP LOVE 4 KEV) has a W in the ufc and fuck8ng MJW wouldnt? MJW COULDNT? You sound Mayhem Miller crazy son.
Well if you think that is all MJW can do thats your issue to work out. You are 100% correct that he isn't a professional fighter and kudos to those who choose that life. I am sure most pro fighters will agree that having that distinction of being a pro fighter doesn't come with the distinction you will definitely beat up someone 80 pounds heavier who trained their whole life. Then there are the Mike Perry's of the world. Those type you don't even have to fight karma wins that battle every timeYou’re right. I mean, I saw mjw punch kimbo’s hand.....
Kimbo dedicated himself to actual fighting, including dedicating himself to mma. Something mjw never did.
It’s simply amazing the leap you make on almost zero footage of mjw. But he’s ripped....
MJW can't beat Royce Gracie, he would absolutely be slaughtered by Perry.Well if you think that is all MJW can do thats your issue to work out. Bruce Lee believed in cross training arts long before mma was ever around.
He respected elite boxers, even trained and garnered respect from them. Trained with Gene lebell, trained in wrestling and other martial arts.
He was a pioneer in his martial arts philosophies and ahead of his time in many ways.
anyone who doesn't respect that is just clueless, probably not even a martial artist themselves and needs to shut the fuck up.
would Lee be able to come in and compete with elite fighters today? Probably not, although he was deadly. There are more than a few traditional martial artists nowhere near his level who have had success in their transition.
If he came up in this era, who knows what he could have accomplished. he was a master and would have had likely the most interesting and thoughtful mind in mma history. Those types always make fascinating, creative and cerebral fighters.
Though I think Lee's role was as a teacher and philosopher above all else. would've made a phenomenal trainer
Have you sparred before? If you are able to lightly spar and impress someone that means you have control of your technique. Look at holly and Jon Jones when they spar the technique is obviously there showing they know something. Combine that with his experience in kyukoshin (spelling) and you know he has timing. Gsp attributes his timing to this. Then go look up the boxers that use white for training camps. Why so much hate. It’s black dynamite! He first said moved around. Then said light light spar. They clearly didn’t spar in any way that would be close to fighting.
Yes, I do .
Perry is nothing as a striker.
I'm 240 pounds, but take 60 pounds off me and id smoke him. Easily.

MJW can't beat Royce Gracie, he would absolutely be slaughtered by Perry.
Toney, a boxing legend, was destroyed in the mma.

an actor who trains karate, and is a bjj white belt can he fight mma? hahahahah.
a movie star clown would be destroyed in a real competition.
He’s a 6 foot 225 lb guy with show muscles. Don’t act as if he’s a giant.Well if you think that is all MJW can do thats your issue to work out. I spar a lot and light touch sparring doesn’t tell you much. Especially with guys who mostly were used to point fights.Have you sparred before? Well I will leave you with this. I study movement and technique. I am not saying IN ANY WAY these are the end be all to fighting. While people claim MJW won't be shit because you have never seen him in action. My outlook differs. If you have spent a lifetime training and I have seen zero footage of you not looking crisp, and I mean ever then, I would probably say you are not only an actor but a well seasoned martial artist as well. There are two people in Hollywood I would say would probably have had a degree of success in the UFC. MJW and believe it or not Wesley Snipes. Both high level martial artists who got paid more acting than fighting. I agree Hollywood theatrics are comical. MJW is actually very sharp and has a very high martial art IQHe’s a 6 foot 225 lb guy with show muscles. Don’t act as if he’s a giant.
You have seen extremely limited movement and technique from mjw. Almost none.Well I will leave you with this. I study movement and technique. Every snippet in every training video of him I have seen has been a movement or speed drill and literally none of what I have seen has been poor advice or training. I have seen so many actors with spinning shit and techniques that would have you battered. Show us MJW giving McDojo techniques? I have never seen any of that and I was a fan of him as an actor and martial artist since Spawn came out. He just isn't a straight fake Hollywood dude or a pro fighter. Not everything is black or white. Just like not every pro fighter has decent or remotely good striker. Just because you are one thing doesn't make you the other by defaultYou have seen extremely limited movement and technique from mjw. Almost none.
