It's good for casuals and ppv buys, I'd much rather a third title fight (and preferably a real undisputed one at that). Even something like Edwards vs Belal 2.

There are at least 4 people on the card shown in the OP that will be getting ppv points.

It just doesn’t make sense to have Conor on 300. They can put him on 301, 302, or whenever. The card will sell. And only Conor/Chandler would get ppv points.

In other words. I believe the UFC makes more money in total by putting Conor on any card other than UFC 300.

No negotiations needed. As far as I know very few female champs get PPV points (depends on their popularity like Ronda). Same with male FLW for example. DJ talked about defending the title for ages until a new contract with PPV points was negotiated. Figgy famously talked about not getting PPV points as well.

Being champ isn't an automatic guarantee for a cut of the PPV, at least not below the male BW division. I'm willing to bet Weili isn't anywhere close to getting PPV points.

Weili is getting ppv points.. 100%. She’s the winner of a Fight of the Year. She is the most valuable champion in terms of how many people from their own country that could be potential customers/fans of the UFC.

There are 1.4 billion people in China. In South Africa, and Mexico combined. There are only 180 million people.
