Media Michael Chandler plans to become the oldest lightweight champion ever in 2025, admits to once being an "Islam hater"

Makhachev will get excommunicated and denied bathroom entry if doesn't at least try to use this as means to weasel out of Tsaruk and Topuria fights. Another 38-year old veteran with no cardio, and he isn't even a FW. What a gift! An easy win in which Makhachev breaks his finger and is out for another year. In the meantime, his most dangerous opponents hopefully fighting (and losing) to each other. Farter's plan bless!

^^^^what does the unintelligible string of letters mean?

He's the master of losing fights hes on the verge of winning.
Yeah, he had the fights with Gaethje before he slammed his own head into the mat halfway through round 3 and was beating Dustin till he foolishly gave up top position in round 3.

It's not going to happen, but if he faces Charles, Conor, Islam and Max over the next 12 months we are in for some foty contenders

Who knows? Maybe Chandler has been training his ass off for that Conor fight and comes back refreshed. Probably gets a title shot if he beats Olivera and Islam isn't at WW

That's why I said it's not going to happen
If it somehow happens it means he wins the first 3 fights..
Hahaha gotcha.

Im just confused why people think he’s going to perform at a competitive level. Assume he does make it to the cage for that year it’s gonna be a 39 year old taking on a bunch of guys who are in their primes. I can tell you the fight now, he looks very energetic in the first, maybe even hurts the other fighter….and then gasses hard and gets finished because he’s 40 and semi retired. There are really no upsides to him fighting.

If there was a sport where blowing a bloody nose into someone's mouth was a competition, Chandler would be undisputed champ. In LW MMA, nah.

The guy has relied on athleticism, and explosiveness his whole career. 2 things that don't really sustain in your late 30's. I'm not seeing it. The amount of time he'll be able to sustain being explosive in fights will grow shorter and shorter with each passing year.
