Michael Chandler is the type to bring a knife to a pillow fight

I didnt remember what rules were legal and werent when he did that shit, but thats basically what he's remembered for.
I don't think they ever mentioned rules on the PPV until a bit later. They marketed it as "no rules" but apparently told the fighters backstage they couldn't do a few really ugly/dangerous things like poke eyes, bite, etc. Headbutts, shots to the back of the head, cage grabbing, hair pulling, kicking your opponent on the ground while standing, etc. were legal, though.

Yeah the whole marketing thing was that there was no rules and "To the DEATH" which wound up biting them in the ass later.

Yeah, I wonder if Hess could've won a court case against them...unless he signed something saying he'd follow the "backstage" rules.

I dunno. Doesnt seem to the be the sharpest knife in the drawer to begin with.

Don't forget attempted murder

"I feel its disrespectful when my opponent wins the fight, comes up to me and hugging me, saying positive things after I lost the fight" something like that idk lol

Meanwhile he did backflips over Tony's corpse

I don't feel so bad about Conor dicking Chandler around as dirty as he is.

TBF, that was part of the marketing, though. They were trying to get as many PPVs and especially VHS rentals as possible. If they did something like Pancrase (legit wrestling shoots with open-handed strikes or "slap boxing" as Tank Abbott called it), I can't see it appealing to many Americans (and others). It would only attract a small segment of the pro-wrestling crowd and maybe some people who liked real wrestling and judo.

They were playing off the "Enter the Dragon" and "Bloodsport" vibe. The negative attention and "human dog fighting" charges probably made it more popular.

Yes but they probably went too far with the marketing on that one. They had already sort of established the brand when they said that.

He still almost knocked Charles out in the 5th
Dude never gives up

You need guys like Chandler around so you can point your fingers and say
“That’s the bad guy”

<mma3>

When Chandler was born they couldn’t pull him out the womb he was grabbing the fence. His Mother took her first look at him and he poked her square in the eyes. He punched the Dr. in the back of the head. His Father shook his hand and he grabbed his glove and tried to break his wrist.

Have you EVER seen a man in the cage with actions as outright THIRSTY for a win and coming up short as Cheatum Chandler? Let’s discuss

I want to see him vs Conor, for the biggest cheater belt.

So it was him who fish hooked, remembered it as he was fishhooked.. He should be suspended or punished for that shit he pulled last night considering he has done this before and clearly he is at the skill level where its intentional, notice how no one fence grabs on the contender series? To be fair, Olivera put Arman in danger with illegal kicks to the head which does not make it right but probably the reason Olivera seemed cool about it after the fight lol.
Olives said that that situation took a little bit of his aggressiveness out of the fight, he's friend with Arman's coach Parrumpa. Parrumpa called him a cheater when it happened, he felt sorry and kind of let it get in his head. lol
He did get away with the glove grab against Porier though

Yeah, that's why despite conor cheating more against khabib, I don't think it was as bad as what chandler did last night because although conor did a lot of little shit, none of it was as impactful as eye pokes and numerous back of the head strikes. I still can't believe the ref didn't say anything while he was one foot away watching all those back of the head strikes.
Conor's knee from his back to Khabib was super egregious. Also him blatantly hitting mayweather in the back of the head

there's like no finesse to it. He does it openly, knowing he wont he wont get in trouble. it's a big problem
