Media Michael Bisping's face after fighting Anderson Silva

What are people talking about? Silva rocked? Silva was landing shots the entire time throughout that fight and rolling with/blocking basically everything from Bisping.

Please someone post a gif of bisping landing even 1 good shot during the fight. You can't, it will be Silva rolling with it aka no count

lol someone needs to rewatch the fight

That's when I knew Silva was completely done. Bisping was barely alive after that knee and still couldn't be finished and took rounds away from Andy.

People like to imply that Anderson fell off a cliff, but he really didn't. I know the Brunson win was a robbery, but you also could've given him the Bisping fight, and then he was very game for the Adesanya fight and had some moments. It wasn't until after that one that he really deteriorated.

And no, I don't hold losing to prime Cormier on one day's notice against him in the slightest.

His Main Question Mark was his lower body stability after the Leg Break in the 2nd Weidman fight. He would look shakey at times , then Connonier hit him with that heavy inside Leg Kick. But if an opponent was going to stand and trade with him , it was still mostly advantage Silva, even DC was cautious.

Anderson is a counterpuncher. So he was effective in the chances that Bisping gave him.

The end of the 3rd round was a result of Anderson’s aggression. He chose to move forward and apply pressure. When he did that, he was very good in that fight. That was nothing to do with Bisping giving him chances and more to do with Anderson taking the center of the octagon and stopping the showboating.

Knee was right on the buzzer. Nothing late about it.

You didn’t watch the fight. Why comment on it?

Here it is guys.

I’m not saying it was late. It was dumb by Bisping and kind of cheap by Anderson. Lost focus for a second to grab his mouthpiece. Anderson noticed he was going for it and distracted and launched that knee

It was actually Herb Dean's fault. He moved in like he was going to separate them and give Bisping his mouthpiece back. Then decided against it half way through and backed off again. That's why Bisping looked away from Anderson in the first place, to ask Herb what he was playing at. Anderson took that moment to try to finish the fight while Bisping was distracted.

Yes it was cheap, yes Bisping should have been defending himself at all times. But true fault lies with Herb for making like he was forcing a break and then not doing it. I think he even took the responsibility for it after the fight.

It was after the bell wasn't it?
The knee wasn't. It was before but with only enough time to deliver a quick punch. Maybe all it would take was one accurate shot to finish the fight though.

Anderson had Bisping dead to rights and didn't pounce on him.
Man, had Silva landed a couple follow up shots instead of walking away..... Frustrating.

I think one of the reasons Silva didn't pounce on him and finish was because he didn't want to get DQ'd, since the round was over. Something tells me that's a pretty major factor at play here

3-2 or 4-1 Anderson with a 10-8 round 3.
Lost every second of round 3 until that knee, but wins it 10-8. Ok

This fight always shows me moreso than any other that the vast majority of people on Sherdog have zero clue about what they are watching.

The sheer amount of people who will boldly claim the knee at the end of round three knocked Bisping out cold. When it takes 10 seconds to watch it on YouTube, blows my mind.

At this point I don't know whether people are telling bold faced lies or just dumb.

Who, in the history of combat sports has ever been knocked out cold. Looked up at the referee while unconscious, and started arguing with him about a bad call he made? Who has been knocked completely out, got up and dominated the very next round?

Did the knee hurt Bisping? Yes badly, did it drop him? Obviously, watch the fight. Was he knocked out? Obviously not, again, simply watch the fight.

Again I don't know if people here are lying or just stupid. This is Sherdog so the latter wouldn't surprise me, but something tells me it's the former.

The fight was pretty clearly finished there, he just had time to recover thanks to the bell.

I'm seeing way too many replies here to multi-quote, but some of you really need to revisit the order of events in this exchange.

-Bisping breaks away from a clinch and then IMMEDIATELY complains about his mouthpiece (which is dumb for multiple reasons. A) Even if you think the ref is wrong and should be stepping in, you don't take your attention off your opponent. Call out that your mouthpiece is out so you know they know, but fight on. And B) The ref pauses when there's a break in the action and he was still being pressed every second up to this point.

-Silva lands the flying knee

-Bisping falls to his knee and his butt hits the second the buzzer sounds. The round is over. Silva cannot follow up with strikes.

-Herb steps forward, and Bisping turns to yell at him before he gets to him. Meaning he's conscious and aware before Herb can even touch him or asses the "knockout." Meaning he's not knocked out.

Recap: Bisping should pay more attention and not complain so much. Silva could not have finished if he wanted to. There was no reason for Herb to stop it.

Yes. What's worse. Getting pillow fisted by Bisping for 4 minutes or getting clean KO'd by an Anderson flying knee?
10-8. Ok.
"KO'd." Double OK.

Anderson had Bisping dead to rights and didn't pounce on him.

Then Weidman got hurt and Bisping got his rematch against Rockhold.

Both of these situations enabled Bisping to have the worst title reign ever.

Still a title reign though.

Bisping was always a bad matchup for silva.

Broken rhythm boxing with heavy feints. Silva was slipping by the time they fought, but against a counter striker like Anderson, bisping had the style to give him his hardest fight.

He had Anderson biting on all the feints, so started busting him up throughout.
Come on now Prime Anderson wouldve murdered him.

Great KO by The Spider. Not bad for a 42 year old man

I was there and watched the fight, Anderson Silva won - Bispibg got executed that night.

Bisping is probably one of the fighters who benefited the most in his career from the 10pt system in MMA.
Hamill, Leites, Silva, Hendo x2 were all fights he would have easily lost in Pride where damage was the prime criteria.
The Rashad Evans and Sonnen fights could have gone his way but they were very close fights. He got the benefit of iffy decisions a lot more than he lost.

Um wtf are you talking about LoL Bisping had backed up to the fence because he had lost his Mouthguard. Prior to that he Anderson in all sorts.
