IIRC correctly the round got over as Silva connected knee and hence he didnt follow-up. Silva is not that stupid to not know the ref didnt stop the fight he just wanted to win so he acted like he did. Bisping got up,Bisping came out of his corner for next round and this is why he didnt lose.

Didn't Bisping win the following rounds? Which basically means Dean took the right decision.

And to all these "following shots" advocators, the bell rang. He couldn't do the following shots. Silva was tentative all night and the only reason he finally attempted something that could put him at risk was because 1. Bisping was looking at his mouthpiece and 2. It was the very end of the round.

It was really close. He might have landed one good shot which may have been enough to put Bisping out and unable to continue. It wouldn't have been a full on "follow up" but it could've been a Machida/Thiago Silva situation. Go out right at the bell.

Anderson had Bisping dead to rights and didn't pounce on him.

Then Weidman got hurt and Bisping got his rematch against Rockhold.

Both of these situations enabled Bisping to have the worst title reign ever.

lol Bisping was never even knocked out. Post the entire exchange Bisping got rocked from the knee and was arguing witht he ref two seconds later because he was pissed at the mouth peice thing. The ref, Bisping, even Silva himself all have said Bisping was never KO'd. Silva walked off at the bell hoping to sway the ref into stopping it, a smart move trying to do it. Silva lost the next round even though Bispign still didn't have full feet under him. that knee hurt him, but he never went out.

Damn the Bisping hate is real on Sherdog. I thought he won this fight when I first saw it, maybe I need to rewatch it since it's been awhile.

I do agree the Ping's title reign was awful though. Love Ping, but the UFC should've pushed him to fight actual contenders instead of geriatric Hendo and overblown GSP.

Bisping clearly won, fights are scored by round and other than this knockdown which won him the round Anderson lost most of the rest of the fight including getting knocked down himself.

Yep, anyone claiming that Anderson would have won if he followed up hasn't watched this fight in a long time. The round was over pretty much right after the knee landed, there was no time to follow up unless Anderson wanted to get DQed for hitting his opponent after the bell.

definitely not.. lol Anderson is my favorite fighter ever.. but Prime Silva was last seen in 2011 against Yushin Okami when he was 35 years old... He looked bad in the second Chael fight.. worse in the Bonnar fight... I mean for Anderson... he wasn't the same... He still had some good techniques and old dog tricks but he was like Roy Jones... a reflex fighter without his reflexes.

And still held the belt way past his best years, when most fighters never touch gold. Also hilarious how everyone claimed the Chris was goat for beating old andy

Not even sure AS gets the third as a 10-8, he was still outstruck for that round and only got the knock down in the last 5 seconds. 10-8 should be a much more dominant round than that

Anderson landed nothing of note until Bisping literally stopped fighting ti pick his mouthpiece up.

It was a very shitty performance by Anderson overall. And a deserved loss.

Bisping also had 1 and a quarter eye. He has quarter vision on his injured eye maybe half best

Agreed as well, what really pissed me off was Silva doing jack shit the next round even though Bisping wasn't fully recovered yet. He even had his back against the cage letting Bisping tee off on him. I think honestly Silva lost more than Bisping won, but Bisping got the win and deservedly so

Anderson robbed himself tbh. He should’ve just gone to his corner immediately between rounds instead of showboating and acting like the fight was over, and forced Bisping to have to answer the bell for the next round.
