It's looks like Kennedy is more interested in killing Walter company. That Lady and the Tramp reboot was horrendous. That movie was so awesome

Not that I've seen these days. They seem to only cast non whites or women now. I could be corrected but from what I've seen, that is the case. Even changing established white characters to non whites.

And this is why fancasting on sherdog sucks. Lashley is a horrid actor and has no proven ability to draw in the box office. Michael B is bigger than Sly, and even though I didn't find him believable as a HW, the moviegoing public did. He would be fine as Hercules. Not to mention an ancient Greek would be kind of tiny by modern standards.

Believable HW? Stallone was two bills for Rocky 2.

I realize he's more natural in the 175 range though. Weird comparison between skin color and HW boxing stature.

By the way, I think a movie or series about Memnon would not attract much of a popular audience but it would be pretty cool. That's an actual black character that could be developed within a antiquity framework, with ancient gods and all that.

Sly was 178lbs in Rocky, and 195lbs in Rocky II (his heaviest weigh in for the franchse). He was a shredded 166lbs for Rocky III, and 173lbs for Rocky IV.

Michael Jordan is not that much bigger than Sly was, and it's going to involve some pretty serious cinematography making him look like a Herculean character onscreen, and I can't help but think it's also going to cause problems with the casting director limiting who they can and can't use for supporting characters. It will be much like a Tom Cruise film, or like in Fast And Furious franchise making Vin Diesel looking like the size of the Rock. Not impossible feats given today's CGI, but it will make some scenes more difficult to shoot.

Personally, MBJ would be a poor choice as Hercules (imo) but to each his own.

I mean, he's a fine actor, but they'd best stop with this stuff. If this were something that went in every direction I think people would be a bit more tolerant of it, but since it is absolutely a "recast the white guy but never the black" thing it rubs a lot of people the wrong way... And people are starting to react quite strongly to this stuff. Disney has been shitting the bed for a few releases now and they've basically redone Snow White at this point, so maybe a black Hercules ain't in their best interests? Maybe find some other way to up that ESG score.

It’s probably because the entertainment industry has a long history of whitewashing minority characters. That’s not to mention they did a race swap of Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.
