Fair enough, but in my initial post I was quite explicitly responding to your mention of the MRM. Viewing MGTOWs as pathetic is more understandable, though personally I view most of them as somewhat pitiful. I do think the premise of "going your own way" can be positive, though it doesn't seem to be most of the time.

I think the MRM is rooted in a much healthier place and that MRAs tend to get a bad rap. You can definitely find silly and sometimes needlessly divisive stuff coming from it, but I think that's more of an unfortunate result of the current political climate that's a constant thread through any current activist movement(especially online) than a problem unique to the MRM.
