MGTOW Channels Demonetized on YouTube

lol @ blaming the left wing instead of blaming the free market.
The left wing has been notably sympathetic to corporate censorship.

In terms of free market, it seems to me like a very few corporations, Google, Facebook, Twitter et al control far too much to the space in which Americans communicate. I'd love to see some anti-trust action here, you know, to free up the market.

As far as mgtow, it seems very lame.

It is foolish to think that you could keep making a living off of this stuff anyway.

If you're going to be society's critic, and challenge accepted norms, prepare to live a relatively destitute life.

You are thinking of SJWs and far leftists. MGTOW are nothing more than men that havent handed their balls over to women, a thing you cannot recognize since you have no balls.
Incel detected.

I don’t get it. Why do people watch these videos and get into this stuff? What are they trying to accomplish with this? Bring out awareness?

I think it’s garabage people put this much emphasis on their experiences with women and base their quality of life on acceptance from females.

What is MGTOW? Why can’t you millennials just type things out? Everything has to be shortened, have an acronym, or abbreviated, you lazy pricks.
"Men going their own way". They're basically incels (involuntary celibates) who are too self conscious about the the incel label. So they made up a new one.

The right wing has not been very good at moderating their own base in public discourse. It's one of those "this is why we can't have nice things" situations. Any forum or platform that is either very loosely moderated and/or has a heavy right wing adoption inevitably becomes overrun racists, fascists, extremists, misogynists, etc. Feel free to try to change my view.

That's a bigger issue that MGTOW. The First Amendment doesn't have the scope to social media or the internet in general. I wonder what the founding fathers would have said if they knew that the main forum for public debate would eventually be privately owned virtual spaces.

I'd buy the "War on Men" rhetoric if Pro Wrestling wasn't demonetized ages ago, presenting a perfectly reasonable explanation for why YouTube might be demonetizing channels that could prove problematic to their advertisers.

LOL at the MGTOW crowd.
Man up and mate, don't let the femcunts beta you down.

I just read an article about how sexbots are causing jealousy in women. I was initially against the sexbot thing (still am mostly; it's creepy, weird and unnatural), but in today's climate, women are far too choosy, in part due to thirsty betas putting them on pedestals. It makes 5's and 6's think they are 8's and above. A little competition just might do them good.

The market is pretty free for these types of sites. Barriers to entry for building these types of sites are not huge. It does not take a huge amount of resources to build a media hosting site or social media site. But the draw for things like Facebook is everyone is in one place. Breaking it up would defeat the purpose of social media and everyone would just gravitate to one other site anyway.

The thing is the market for conspiracy theories, racism, and mysogeny is incredibly small so taking on these sites under this premise is pretty ridiculous and nothing is stopping someone from building sites that caters to this type of content.

Outrage porn, self-pity, some semblance of acceptance... really, take your pick.

Usually I'm ok with people creating elaborate mechanisms to cope with their depression (in this case stemming from rejection) but in this case their shit can get toxic real real fast...

Yes, I am aware of what the First Amendment is. However, it's not the only element necessary in securing freedom of speech. I think we'll see Facebook and Google either come under heavy regulation about who and when they are allowed to issue bans or they'll be broken up somehow.

Yeah, I don't understand the outrage. There ARE social media platforms and video-sharing websites aimed at these hate spewing communities...they just lack the revenue streams associated with bigger platforms, and for a good reason. Corporate America (not just these dread Silicon Valley liberals) doesn't want anything to do with you, just take the hint and go your own way.

These whiny cunts are like the dude who desperately wants to bang Stacy, the hot popular chick that doesn't want them. Meanwhile there this chubby 5/10 who's totally into them and probably gives great head if given a chance. But they still prefer going after Stacy and hating themselves and the world after getting rejected.

Care to enlighten me? Hadn't heard of this before.

So the Internet gave you people.

Not all men are sensitive.

But you are

Love how anyone defending MGTOW is not a person defending free speech, but a MGTOW member. You are such a cuck to hate MGTOW so much. I wager you three replying to me all have lost women to real men and think this is somehow going to help prevent them from doing it again. It wont. Cucks always lose their women to men that can rail them because they actually have testosterone.

The big advertiser boycott last year bled YouTube hard, so they started getting heavy handed with literally anything that could even remotely conflict with their advertisers' values. Everything from violent video games to yes, Pro Wrestling. Made a big hoopla among the smarks, killed WCPW temporarily, it was a shitshow.

They're protecting their bottom line, however they feel they need to do so. Whether or not you think that is morally right is another thing entirely, but it's not a "War on Men".

What do you think the barrier to entry in that market is these days?

Are we talking more than $10 million to even have a chance at success, or can a hardworking group get something moving for much less?

In wrasslin? Man, money marks put on their own super shows all the time. Book some of the best guys in the world and some 45 year old accountant with a beer gut goes over. Disgusting.

All about scale man. If you book a good product, and you get your distribution streams right, there's an audience waiting for you. Joey Janela's Spring Break has been the hottest Wrestlemania week event for two years running and i'm pretty sure GCW pays Nick Gage in hookers and blow. You're not gonna be beating down WWE's door, but you can live as an indy these days with severely managed expectations.

Sorry I meant services like YouTube, good post though.

With all the bitching about there being nowhere for people to "freely" make & post vids, I wonder what sort of cost they're looking at. I don't even know how to ballpark that.

I'm familiar with them cracking down more often on shit they don't deem advertiser friendly, but I had to idea wrasslin was hit by it. Is the "art" (for the lack of a better term) looked at unfavorably in the mainstream media? I know a lot of stuff previously found in it hasn't aged very well, but I honestly had no idea it had come under fire. That sounds odd.

I don't see any issues with this since its not censorship imo. Other youtubers have found ways to earn money on their content without ad monitization.
