Thank god the cut scenes in this game are few and far between because they're fucking horrible.

Be sure to check out the Youtube movies made from the cutscenes of MGS1 and 4!

Playing the games is prefered, of course, but being familiar with 1 makes 2 make so much more sense. Watching a movie of the cutscenes of the first game is much preferred two going into MGS2 blind.

And MGS4 is the grand finale of the series. You'll want to know what happens, even if you can't play through it.

MGS5, from what I'm hearing, has less of an emphasis on story as compared to the other games, more of a focus on gameplay. It'll be more of a side-note in the overall series, with only a few hours of story, with audio files added.... as opposed to the 7-8 hours of cutscenes of MGS4.

Metal Gear was always a military game with heavy super-natural and sci-fi elements.
 
Does MGR mention Snake at all?
 
One thing left out of this game that could have added some depth is having civilians who may or may not alert guards to you depending on your actions.

You just have to do the Quiet Side Op, not any of the rest for it to unlock. The only side ops you have to do are in yellow and there's only a hand few of them. It's the 'last' mission anyway.

After that you just have a few hard-mode redeux and 'the Truth' mission, which is just a retelling/epilogue of the prologue.

No reason to be so bitter that it's exactly like a much better version of PeaceWalker, and an extension of GroundZeroes - the two games preceding it.

Wow really? I played the game and don't remember any mention of Snake at all. What did they say? I assumed Snake to be dead by the time Rising took place.

I did like how Sunny made an appearance though, that was cool to see.

Did the truth mission without doing the Quiet mission. The ending was retarded. Hopefully MGSO will redeem this Trolljima travesty.

Lots of P.T. Easter eggs though, warmed my heart.

I'm so tired of Kojima's "swerve you" storylines. They don't come across as clever or interesting. It just feels like a 12 year olds idea of a good story.
 
Can't even get out of the prologue. Once the credits are done I get an installing game data message and the game just doesn't move at all.

Guess I'll just wait tomorrow to play more, seems other people are having that problem too.
 
Ok guys I need help I have this on Ps4 I have all the trophies but yet my game completion ratio is 99% is there anyway I can view what the hell I am missing in the game like a statistics page because for the life of me I can't find it anywhere on PS4. Help me please!

Only got thru the prologue last night, because I had to work this morning. Started driving to work and noticed my car is heating up, so I called out. Such a bittersweet feeling, I get to play mgs some more but I also have deal with my car acting like a bitch
 
Beat Mission 46. Not gonna get mission 45/sideop 150.

Raiding people's online FOB is pretty fun. Very weird thing happened- I went into the Relationships setting and looked at the list of people to Support and found my friend lmao. I wonder what the chances of that happening is.

Can't wait for the PVP to come out in January.

Game is a 9.5/10 for me. Love it
 
This huge bear keeps fucking me up. Really want to extract it, but it eats tranq rounds like berries. I'd assume sleep gas would do the job, but my R&D staff skill is too low. It's right after the closest landing pad to the side-op "extract elite soldier". Anyone manage?
 
Anyone think the p.t. Easter eggs mean we'll see some form of Silent Hills in the future?

Sounds like another part of the game Konami didn't allow to be finished.
 
Beat mission 45. Was the best mission in the game action-wise. Cried manly tears for Quiet. Damn you, Kojima.

I didn't really do much exploring of Mother Base and would have never known they existed if not for YouTube. They are some of the best scenes in the game and worth checking out.

1080p and 60FPS on their youtube channel, but if you watch from here, it's far less than that.

This is the closest you can get to experiencing the game with having a next-gen console or tricked-out gaming PC.

Well I finally got my 100% completion and I don't really know why it wasn't registering before hand but what I did in my case to fix it is just go through my encyclopedia and emblems etc and finally it gave me 100% it was really weird. It was an awesome ride but I'm kind of happy I'm done with the game now.
