Met any boxers or fighters? Tell us your experiences.

Hardcore. I want a thesis on that list.

I think it was in the four kings that I also read Duran was also a bit intimidated by Hearns, something about how Hearns playing a prank on him and when Duran realizing it was the Hitman he kept quiet, the Hitman then started yelling 'NO MAS NO MAAAS' and then left.

Thats it? I want a paragraph on every individual fighter on that list!

ya, i always thought duran was intimidated of Tommy, not only those stories, but also the way he was fighting, he was too polite, tapping gloves and shit, that just wasn't duran. He landed a great right hand in the fight but other than that he looked like shit. Anyway,MC you should have tried to calm Mccall down by saying "Look Oliver I'm sorry, now why don't you go back to your seat and have a nice little cry and forget about it".

Influenced by another thread in Mayberry.

Met Danny Williams after hed been beaten by Klitschko, dude seemed a bit down but nontheless still made an effort.

Lee Murray: A few months after he had been stabbed multiple times he returned to London Shootfighters for a bit of training, most guys that didnt know him were too intimidated, i gathered the courage to go say hello, told him i had been stabbed myself (true story) and told him hed be fine, he shook my hand and was a real gentleman.

David Haye: A friend of mine saw him at a restaurant and he came across as a real prick towards waiters.

Nigel Benn: This was when I was in High School. We were on lunch break and as I walked by a restaurant in the town centre i saw him and his family having dinner, being the cheeky individual I was i ran up to the window knocked on it, he looked up, I then pointed at him and started shadow boxing to which he just shook his head and facepalmed.

Chris Eubank: used to live in an area called Edgware road if im not mistaken, I was walking down this particular road with a friend and saw Eubank across the road, walking stick, bowler hat, monocle and all, the guy waved at us.

Naseem Hamed: At Hyde park, London. I think this was after his fight with Augie Sanchez, his right hand was wrapped up im guessing from still being sore. He was yelling out some lyrics from a song and no one including his entourage was saying anything....myself being within hearing range yelled back the rest of the lyrics to which he looked over in my direction, smiled and nodded his head.

Mike Tyson Dinner event, was a nice lad. seemed like a down to earth bloke who's caught in a whirl wind of a life.
Tim Witherspoon Same dinner event, came across cool too.
Glen McRory Met a few times, doesn;t talk much just poses for photos n smiles. heard he's a dick
Roberto Duran came to a gym I was training at as his friend knew the coach. seemed like a canny bloke but didn't speak good english

met 1 or 2 others who were decent n trained with a few at the gym but they are the only champions i've met.

Lol, great story MCPB. McCall's fucking nuts.

he must have really scared the shit out of you, you seem traumatized still. We all have our awkward, cowardly moments, even great champions. Ali ran away from Sonny Liston in a casino before their first fight, some people think he also was truly a coward and that's why he didn't want to go to vietnam. Sugar Ray Robinson was nearly the victim of a shooting, he didn't fight back or anything but he did walk away. Some people say Hector Camacho got beat up by Teddy Atlas, and I heard a story that Tommy Hearns spoke to him threateningly. So, I guess it's ok MC, go ahead and tell your story.

Well...
at least you don't think I'm a coward.... repeatedly.

I saw Evander Holyfield at Vernon Forrest/Mosely II.

I was going to say something to him. But I became terrified beyond reason.
The only thing I remember was saying to myself repeatedly "Don't shit your pants, don't shit your pants, don't shit your pants".

Well.... I uhhhh..... shit my pants. Repeatedly.

Me and my buddies shoot pool with Keith Thurman, dudes a complete savage

Hi I am back. I watched Eddie Futch's team train Wayne McCollough for five days and then Eddie Himself for eight days. I sat and talking boxing with Eddie each afternoon after McColloch had finished training.
Nacho Berstien : I stayed hin the same hotel for two weeks and went to the gym and watched him prepare his fighter. The language barrier was not a real problem he was quiet a good guy.
Hecta Rocha . I use to go to Gleason when on the eastcoast .I found him very interesting to swap info with.
Jeff Mayweather. Jeff was a recent visit to Vagas . I Trained at the Mayweather gym for a couple of weeks . My son did pads with Jeff and I punched the bags and talked to people in the gym . Jeff was quiet a good guy. One afternoon I sat out the front and talked boxing with Rafael Garcia . It was interesting.
I will go through the list if people are interested . The boxer's I have listed are ones that I have spent at least a week around.

i met Bader Hari 2 years ago,he is very funny guy, polite,i spent one month with him at the same Beach here in Morocco,he was with one Hotty girl,he also teached me how to shadow boxing correctly and how to close distance without getting trouble of getting ko'd by a straight or a kick, the footwork course was really interesting,he had 2 Seminars over here and i showed up to both of them! he gave me one of his gloves he used to fight in K'1 and i still have it in safe :)

James Butler:
I had seen him many times because he is a friend of a friend.
Everybody seemed scared of him and said he was crazy.
Then I met him at my friends wedding we sat at the same table and he was very cool.
(he is bipolar im not condoning anything)

Carl Williams:
When I was young I was friends with his son (he didint live with his son)
His son would brag that his father was a boxer and was going to beat Mike Tyson's ass.
We didnt believe him untill his father shows up at the basketbal court in a limo a few weeks or months prior to his fight with Tyson. About 8 of us jumped in the Limo and he drove around the school and bought us ice cream. Later when Williams was knocked out.. his son said it was due to a headbutt.

cool story about Carl Williams, was a time when people seriously thought he'd be the next champ after holmes, lot's of people thought he beat holmesthat was before his suspect chin made itself known. I've heard he was broke and that Gerry ****ey's program for ex-fighters found him a job doing security.

Leon Spinks worked as a janitor just a few years ago.

I joked around with Aundalen Sloan...
pretty impressive. Pull him up.
