Merab vs Sandhagen

Especially since Merab has already cleared out the division.

It would be a fresh matchup for him, and Sandhagen, on top of everything, has great cardio.

It sucks when someone starts winning a lot because some people tend to think they are invincible and that, mathematically, if fighter A lost to B, they will logically lose to C as well.

However, Sandhagen has his unique traits and deserved to have this chance and be tested against Merab.

Merab doesn't control the ground well and is short, it will take him 25 minutes to escape Cory's lethal knees, and he has also improved a lot in wrestling, Umar had to win standing up.

At least it's an unprecedented fight in a swept division.

I think he may have the cardio to compete at least. I just don't know who else. I would love to see him humiliate sugar again but at 135 why Cory. He just lost to Umar convincingly.

Bro, Suga Sean KO'ing Merab is fool’s gold lol. It’ll never happen. It’s like Conor KO’ing Khabib, possible in theory but extremely unlikely. What’s worse is that matchup is just boring, Merab-O’Malley was a horrible fight. Sandhagen-Merab might be entertaining even if Sandhagen loses, styles make fights.

omalley isnt getting anywhere near that belt for a while. he cant wrestle. at least umar defended a shit load of takedowns and wasnt really controlled on the ground at all. omalley would have been taken down and controlled on the vast majority of merabs attempts last night. the merab from last night who wasnt even 100% healthy fucks up omalley worse than the first fight.

This makes the sport become complete nonsense if we just make match ups based on what’s fresh etc. even when fighters have come off loss and don’t deserve it.

It’s completely ridiculous for Sandhagen to get a shot when he has several guys ahead of him coming off wins who have also beaten him. Makes the sport silly.

Unfortunately, Sandhagen lacks the defensive grappling to consistently & effectively ward off that onslaught. The ghost of TJ was able to neutralize him despite that fight being shit and having no real "winner", per se.
