Merab is making his status as champion irrelevant by turning into a professional ducker. You are the champion and you gotta act like the best in the world and take on the best
Makhachev also went on a 10 fight win streak before fighting a streaking Charles Oliviera for the belt.that has nothing to do with what i was referring to. you said nobody had to win 10 times to get a title shot and i pointed out that there indeed was and his name is Max Holloway. your opinion of the quality of either Merab's or Max's opponents is a moot point.
besides, beating Sean O'Malley is less difficult than beating Jose Aldo twice. how do you even know Umar is a much tougher fight than Ortega or Aldo? you're comparing a fight that hasn't happened to 2 that already have.

that's 3 guys in just 1 organization lmaoWould be hilarious if they do the unnecessary rematch and Merab loses.
Merab said he would prefer an easy money fightUFC's 3 duckling:
Merab
Alex
Jon
Says he'll fight anyone, but his "best option" is Sean o'malley
Is he ducking or smart for choosing the easiest match/money?
Umar vs Song is a very bad look for the sport. Everybody knows Umar deserves the shot and everybody knows Merab prefers not to have that fight. No champ should be allowed to pick who they fight. They fight top contender, as obligated by championship standards. This bs has to stop, it's doing tremendous harm to the ufc and ruining careers of deserving top contenders.
Yep, and the saddest case is Tony, he did it in a shark tank of a division.yup, and Tony Ferguson was on a 9 fight win streak when they finally gave him an interim title shot, which he was then stripped of a few months later even though he continued his win streak to 12 before finally going on his current losing streak.
and dude said "there has NEVER been anyone in MMA"that's 3 guys in just 1 organization lmao

And trust me, Sean will dodge the rematch like Izzy dodged PoatanWould be hilarious if they do the unnecessary rematch and Merab loses.
Merab says he's in no rush to fight so Umar should rush a fight in so if he wins he would be a clear number one contender, instead of this unnecessary rematch with Sean.
