Been a while since I've watched this fight.

Embarassing fight. Conor looks like he's fighting a little kid is there. And still gets handled almost the entire time.

I get that the weight cut is part of the game... but man conor doesn't belong in 145.

Will be interesting to see conor fight people more his own size in 155 but in the event of a loss to RDA what next? Conor can't possibly plan to defend in 145 much longer, his body will fall apart if he keeps doing it. Once that happens where does it leave him? Out of 145 since his body won't let him cut anymore, and a 155 division with a champ he can't beat.

Dude pretty much has to beat RDA or his career will be going nowhere fast.

I wasn't aware you had to be a champion for a good career.

Conor, even without being champion, will be marketable and fun to watch fight...

C'mon man. After all the shit conor's talked, it's all or nothing.

Although I agree that one doesn't need the belt to have a good career I believe Conor's following will diminish greatly after a couple losses. People love him because he does what he says and he's flashy and vocal about it. All this bravado won't mean much when he can no longer boast of being the best. Personally, I'll still watch because he's a great entertainer INSIDE the cage but I feel a lot of casuals, and I emphasize a lot, are fans of his pageantry and theatrics rather than what he does when the fight starts and they will flee after a loss or two.

Hell I am wrong to it 197 196 was cancelled, damn I am all confused

Conor was eating Mendes up standing and had him broken. Mendes shot for a desperate takedown and got it. His only success was on the ground. Still, Conor did manage to stuff a couple and ended up getting to this feet at the end. The only thing Mendes showed was that Conor can be taken down by elite wrestlers.

Conor beat him up bad won round 1. So what he got taken down big deal. Finished him inside 2 rounds also. Don't see why people argue this fight was close

Conor's chin really impressed me in this fight, he ate a few bombs like they were horderves.

Extremely impressive fight from Conor. All the adversity, all the media shit, all the pressure, a wrestler on two fucking week notice and he handeled it all. His best performance in the octagon by far.

Didn't look close, just looked like conor was in there fighting a midget. Nothing about the fight was especially impressive.

So to you a performance is based on how tall fighters are??

Dont bet on fights homie.

Chad attempted more takedowns than I thought he would in the 2 rounds and for Conor to stuff 4/7 considering the change of opponent I thought was astounding especially considering Chad was only able to control Conor for longer than a minute only once in round 2. I saw enough to say if Conor trains specifically for a wrestler with a humble stand up game then 2 rounds, it will not go.

very unusual to see Mendes huffin and puffin 1minute into the 1st round

He did seemed to swing hard with his shots in first few moments of the fight, what might, compiled with possible adrenaline rush, have gassed him so much. And no, there's no way anyone can convince me pathetic conor's pitty pat kick gassed mendes so fast. There's just too much fights on video where it shows much harder kicks were needed to effectively take a toll on a fighter's gas tank, in much longer periods of time.

This was a fight of extremes.

McGregor's chin: Extremely solid.

McGregor's striking defence: Extremely poor.

McGregor's striking offence: Extremely potent.

McGregor's groundgame: Extremely pathetic.

A haters explanation. He makes weight. Be mad at the regulations.

You obviously have never been kicked to the body before.

That midget had a five round war with Aldo and has only lost to said former all-time great, Conor and Edgar who are the top-3 dogs in that division. That midget has destroyed everyone else he fought.
