Those ppl all served some time before getting pardoned.

Mostly decades in prison. In fact, almost all those cases are instances of the punishment far outweighing the crime.
Statutory rape cases against their own wives, drug dealing a dime bag of weed in the 80s, three strikes of stealing a hamburger.....that sort of shit.

Who said anything about making guns illegal?

As you can see, gun laws work regionally. It's hard to purchase a gun legally in Illinois.

It's easy to purchase a gun from Mississippi, Georgia, or Indiana and then use it in a crime in Illinois though.

Here's an interesting thought experiment for you:

Why is it that these crime guns sourced from other states, are rarely, if ever, involved in any crime until it arrives in Chicago?

Because all guns are first purchased by legal non-criminal owners who then buy, sell, and trade firearms until it eventually falls into the wrong hands.
