Vietnam?

If not then disregard. <45>
Those rice farmers armed with little more than Kalashnikov rifles managed to stand up to the most well-equipped and powerful military force the world has ever known. And then in short order steamrolled the CCP-backed Khmer Rouge in Cambodia to topple Pol Pot's genocidal regime before throwing down with China itself to protect their border on an attempted invasion.
That war also caused a significant level of domestic upheaval across an ocean from where it was fought and a fuckton of US troops came out of the conflict completely broken. No sooner than America felt it had regained its facade of supremacy at the turn of the century, it was taught the same fucking lesson -- only this time by literal cavemen and villagers armed with Kalashnikovs.
This sentiment isn't made with any intent to denigrate or disrespect our military or troops, but rather clapback at the rhetoric of snide statist motherfuckers who scoff at our 2nd Amendment, which would actually include the sitting President of the United States and a horde of other shitbags occupying political office.
