It was my first duty weapon (well, the 92FS, actually.) Never had a problem with it but then again it was the first thing I ever shot and was trained on. Our females never shot well with it for some reason. It got better when they went to the Vertec and then all of us to the M9. Then we had Sig 40s and they all did great. Now Glock G45 and they're still doing well.
Thanks for the info. My opinion might have been influenced by the fact I was spoiled with the many options my uncle offered me. The other 9mm handgun was a custom made 9mm he paid a fortune for. I fell in love with that weapon and a 38 long nose. Good times.

You have a very good memory. :)

Are they that bad? I only shot the M9 and hated it. I shot a few clips and wouldn't touch it for the rest of the session.

What about people with mental problems? What about idiots who proved they're irresponsible and couldn't be trusted with a pointy stick? I have ptsd and got rid of my weapons because I don't think I should be near them. I've never planned on hurting anyone. It just makes sense to me.

It's just an amusing spin on the decision to use one for a gun-free zone sign. I have nothing against them at all, and from all indications they are incredibly reliable. I don't think you can go wrong with Beretta, Glock or SIG but they aren't for me and I'm strongly personally partial to revolvers myself when it comes to handguns, especially classic blued steel with wood grips or inserts.

As far as 'common sense' gun control, it depends on the context of exactly what someone is speaking about (what you brought up is valid), but there's a "give an inch, take a mile" slippery slope concern that surrounds it. To a lot of leftists and liberals, banning ArmaLite and Kalashnikov rifles is "common sense" even in their semi-auto configurations, hence the perpetual controversy and politicized discussion of "assault weapons". This despite the fact that ~70% of all US gun crime is owed to individuals wielding pistols.
