Are they that bad? I only shot the M9 and hated it. I shot a few clips and wouldn't touch it for the rest of the session.

This is a fascinating meme which gets to the heart of something people don't understand.

There is a conceptual difference between a "right", and a "liberty". A right is something that someone is obligated to give to you. (ie: Someone who is sufficiently poor has a right to receive welfare.) A liberty is something that someone is not allowed to take away from you. Some people call liberties "negative rights".

The "right" to bear arm is a classic liberty. So is free speech.

What this means is that while the government cannot make laws violating your free speech (ie: liberty), they also do not have the obligation to positively protect your speech in the face of private consequences.

If government is under no obligation to positively protect any of our "rights" then they should have no power to restrict us from protecting those "right" should we choose and in what manner we may find most efficient to do so.

The government does what it does. If you think the governments choices violate your constitutional rights, your legal remedy is to take them to court.

A court they increasingly control and that is generally designed to favor outcomes in support of government.

It was my first duty weapon (well, the 92FS, actually.) Never had a problem with it but then again it was the first thing I ever shot and was trained on. Our females never shot well with it for some reason. It got better when they went to the Vertec and then all of us to the M9. Then we had Sig 40s and they all did great. Now Glock G45 and they're still doing well.
