Someone started a fake Maxine Waters (as MaxinePWaters) twitter account, posted inflammatory statements like this, and the Trumpleforeskins thought they were true. The account was closed by twitter, but yet "tweets" from that account still get made into memes as if true, and are gobbled up shit by eating morons. Lots of that stuff informs Trump's base. Scary shit.

I think the word "meme" is used to describe a long list of shit that is not the same. A joke on a picture, fine, it's a meme and sometimes it's really funny. Like the Trudeau coming to America to talk gun control meme, that's hilarious. Then there's some that are deliberatively misleading, but still has a joke in there, and that can be a problem but at least it's still funny. Like Obama listening in on Trump's delivery order and Trump asking Obama if he wants anything. It's misleading, but still a joke, and a good one.

But attributing a completely fake quote to somebody, editing a video to change the message, making up fake statistics, etc. Those aren't jokes, that's just plain propaganda. That is not funny, it's actually warping the minds of idiots across the country. That's not an exaggeration, millions of morons see this stuff and they believe it.
