In all seriousness, the aggrandizement of the papacy is like the worst thing about the entire institution. I mean, aside from the widespread corruption and sex abuse scandals. I was raised Protestant; when I speak positively about Catholicism in a cultural or theological sense, the pope is really the last thing that comes to mind. There's no 21st century motherfucker worthy of the respect bestowed upon Saint Peter, although I do hope Leo can steer things in a better direction.
