Are Jews supposed to be a monolith?
Are all of them supposed to _______? Or are they like every other racial/religious group, meaning they're individuals?
Yup, there's Jews that reject Jesus, that's true today as there were the day Jesus was crucified.
And yes, they are God's chosen people, so those who claim to be Christian should tread very carefully when choosing to criticize God's chosen people.
The Bible certainly treats them as a monolith. When they turn against God, there's usually an exception of only one or two people (such as Joshua and Caleb), and the rest of the nation is treated as having fallen collectively. In a more modern context, one of the fundamental tenets of Judaism is that Jesus was not the Son of God. That's central to their beliefs.
Sure, there are Jewish people who have converted to Christianity, just as there are former Muslims (or former anything) that have converted. But broadly speaking (and certainly in the context of humor, which is where this discussion began), it's reasonable to treat them as a a monolithic group, just as you would with any race, religion, or other demographic.
