I'm not defending that law, as long as you feel the same about hate speech laws as you do about the tories' law then it's ok and my comment isn't for you

Yeah, we were in agreement on that.

Hate speech laws were left wing, protest bans are right wing. Both are insidious ways to shut people up. But the right to protest is vital.

With caveats. Marches are fine, as long as they are peaceful. Shout your slogans, make as much noise as you want.

Blocking roads to the extent that ambulances can't get through, or people can't make it to hospital for vital appointments? Anyone who tries that deserves to get their heads kicked in by riot police.

Every admin that takes office brings in folks who will tell leadership what they want to hear.

Anyone who sees an 11-year-old girl getting pregnant as a blessing needs a smack upside the head . . . or 20.

I was working a protest a couple of months ago (I'll let you guess which international conflict it was in regards to). At it's height I would say there were 3500-4000 people there. I said to one of the guys I was working with "Give me 50 Templars and this is over with"

How did they end up clearing everyone out? Mounted unit. The more things change...
