I was working a protest a couple of months ago (I'll let you guess which international conflict it was in regards to). At it's height I would say there were 3500-4000 people there. I said to one of the guys I was working with "Give me 50 Templars and this is over with"

How did they end up clearing everyone out? Mounted unit. The more things change...

I actually met a couple of mounted officers in Edinburgh city centre. They were just exercising the horses. I asked permmision of course, and very gently patted the horse's neck. The pelt was very smooth, but underneath I could feel muscle way beyond anything a human could hope to build. It must have weighed close to half a ton.

The horse turned it's great head to look at me for a few moments, obviously decided(correctly)I was no threat to him or his rider and went back to eyes front. I decided I would never put myself in a situation where I saw one of those great beasts charging me.

It reminded me of what the Irish say about the Wolfhound,

"Gentle when stroked, fearsome when provoked"

Halfway through your post and I'm wondering if you're still talking about horses

How come you guys aren't freezing those protestors' bank accounts? Just curious.
