The liberation of doing a simple trick perfectly. No outrageous spins, flips or anything like that just a basic trick but flawless. Wonder how many skaters could do a perfect run through ALL of the basic to intermediate tricks. Sounds very easy but I bet its really not

Yes, wasn't trying to imply otherwise if it seems that way. Just that when someone sees Tony Hawk they likely expect or want him to do some outlandish trick. But, sometimes just pulling off a technically perfect run of the standard tool box of tricks is just as, if not more, impressive.

Not sure if you're aware but Tony did a video series where he'd drive around and yell from his car at random people who.had a skateboard to do a kickflip...

...the ones who even attempted got an autographed board from him. Cool shit.

Sad part was the folks who didn't even try and didn't recognize him. That's the irony of his Tweet.


I'm not a skater by any means, but hell I'd try to do one if Tony Hawk challenged me to.
