I don't think it's fair to say he died because of his views but it sure is ironic

He personally worked with his killer in prison, and had a direct hand in describing him as a "success story", which they used to try to expand their program. Yes, he unquestionably died because of his views.

One day, someone needs to sit down and compile a list of all the people who died because of their white guilt. I dunno if this guy died because of that but there has been numerous stories of dumb white people ignoring obvious danger to prove they're not racist and actually love minorities.
