I personally don't eat much meat, and when I do its very high quality.

How do you manage that? Fuck, I have to have a thick cut ribeye or ny strip at least four or five times a week. The indulgence of red meat is definitely something the immigrant fam took to after settling in the American midwest though. It was historically in short supply, scarce and expensive in western Norway. The ancestors spent their time and based their diet around fishing, growing cabbage and picking cloudberries. They didn't know any better.

There's a big difference in being a warrior a part of a tribe and being a soldier in a nation state. From what I understand the people who were enslaved were a part of tribes that had been continuously attacked and got their tribe fractures many times and thus became the most vulnerable. If you want to continue the conversation PM, me.
Historically there is almost no difference. You end up murdered or enslaved when you lose regardless.

text and meme stolen from the internet. @Deorum, next thread should be about ancient unbreakable technology, like grandma's 60 year old fridge.

This does not even begin to cover the weirdness of cathode ray televisions.

They are literally particle accelerators that you point at your face.

And for eighty years, Americans’ favorite thing to do was turn them on and stare at them for hours.

If you overcharge them, they emit gamma radiation.

Servicing them is like disarming a bomb – their capacitors are enormous and are usually charged to hundreds or thousands of volts, and most of them have no bleed system that drains that charge, meaning that they can still be dangerous months or years after the last time they were powered up. A discharge can not only electrocute you, it can cause tools to melt or explode.

A black-and-white cathode ray TV driven by an unmodulated analog signal is theoretically capable of resolution that would require a microscope to perceive.

Great Idea.

Why don't boobs do anything for me!!

I had to. Sorry, Deorum.

Sorry for what, bro?

Fuck Chyyynah. TGM was an absolute blast. Just a fun time with zero of the nonsense that has been ruining movies. I expect it to fucking crush at the box office. It's going to have legs too.

You were right. TGM's legs are Tom Platz level great, only Avatar and Titanic from the almighty James Cameron have ever been stronger on that front. A "mere" $350 million domestic haul would've been considered a huge financial success and doubled the production budget. It's about to cross $1.3 billion worldwide with no Chinese market release and it's still climbing.

He's got the next three Summers on lock.

Oh, Wow.

there first needs to be type of cultural revival, a popular organic movement that purges the demonic spirit in broken cultural mores among poor black trash that drives the conduct of those feral omode wylin' in that video. Something that transcends the limiting strictures of the left/right paradigm that seems to be the recommended default setting for a plantation mindset.

(Real) Black Culture Is Beautiful.

<TheDonald>

On the topic of (male) bodies and homoeroticism: This is the most spectacular bronze sculpture in existence IMO, there's really no convincing me otherwise. And yeah, Leighton had that gaze as is sort of typical.

An Athlete Wrestling with a Python was the first of three bronze sculptures produced by Frederic Leighton. Completed in 1877, the sculpture was a departure for him and heralded the advent of a new movement, New Sculpture, taking realistic approach to classical models. It has been described as a sculptural masterpiece and as possibly Leighton's greatest contribution to British art. The Athlete was arguably the most influential piece of English sculpture of the 19th century.

Greatest Marble? Well, Duh.

Greatest Artist? Double Duh (x2)

A one-man cultural force of unimaginable greatness.

Michelangelo (6 March 1475–18 February 1564) was an Italian sculptor, painter and architect of the High Renaissance who exerted an unparalleled influence on the development of Western Art. Considered by many the greatest artist of all-time, his versatility was of such a high order that he is often considered the archetypal Renaissance Man along with his rival, the fellow Florentine Leonardo da Vinci. In his lifetime, Michelangelo was often called Il Divino ("The Divine One") and a number of his works of sculpture, painting and architecture rank among the most famous in existence.

In his lifetime, Michelangelo was often called Il Divino ("The Divine One") and a number of his works of sculpture, painting and architecture rank among the most famous in existence. He sculpted two of his best-known works, the Pietà and David, before the age of thirty. Despite holding a low opinion of painting, he also created two of the most influential frescoes in the history of Western Art: the scenes from Genesis on the Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, and The Last Judgment on its altar wall. His design of the Laurentian Library pioneered Mannerist architecture. At the age of 74, he took over as the architect of St. Peter's Basilica.

Michelangelo was the first Western artist whose biography was published while he was alive. In fact, two biographies were published during his lifetime. One of them, by Giorgio Vasari, proposed that Michelangelo's work transcended that of any artist living or dead, and was supreme in not one art alone but in all three. Michelangelo's impassioned, highly personal style resulted in Mannerism, the next major movement in Western art after the High Renaissance.[1][2][3]

Look at the gifts he bestowed upon the church, @ReligiousDiscipline. Those are some of its greatest riches and not merely of an estimated monetary value, they are cultural landmarks of an entire human civilization.
