Some things are "both sides", not everything though. And even when "both sides" are wrong, there's degrees of wrong. It's wrong to steal a candy bar, it's more wrong to shoot someone. In the interest of being nominally opposed to black and white partisan thinking you're engaging in black and white thinking. That's why there's jokes about "enlightened centrism."

Also, lettuce not forget that you sidestepped everything I said. Even the memes are accurate, hence the reaction. The first one isn't even a meme, it's literally someone's actual double standard. She also said the entire left is responsible for Kirk's murder but then sidestepped when asked if the same applied to the murder of the Minnesotan politician. There's no "both sides"ing that.

I immediately agreed with the idea of the firing squad out of anger. I literally seconds later rethought my position and will wait for our system to hopefully dispatch appropriate justice. No worries man, it's an understandable reaction. That's different than being on national television or having the nuclear codes and having the time and responsibility to feel your emotions and choose your words. Plus, you had the self reflection to see the parallel. That's awesome.

I've no remorse for Kirk based on who he was as a person (I know that's cold but it is what it is, I don't mourn bad people but that doesn't mean I wish death upon them) however this was a horrible act regardless and will only serve to inflame tensions.

Fortunately I've not seen the video and I'm not going to seek it out.

Didn't laugh at the third but it's solid. I'll take this time to point out though that Kirk was pro public execution, thought gay people should be stoned to death, and apparently that black women have inferior minds to white men. Ya know, not great nor non-violent. Not for nothing, the last words out of his mouth were "gang violence" before being shot by a white guy who is possibly a groyper.

His comments were inapprops for his position but hardly noteworthy compared to many Republicans, and particularly including Trump, who so far dwarfs everyone else that it's comical. I can't take the right wing outrage machine seriously considering what they put out. It's like complaining when someone shoots back with a BB gun after shooting 50 cal at them
