That’s a stupid comparison. These two killing have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

I hate it when people are this stupid. They put some moronic things like this out and other stupid people consume it.

Good point. One was a repeat offender who had a heart attack after heavy use of fentanyl and methamphetamines, and the other was a good person engaging in peaceful, open discussion about significant political issues.

Because both are highly politicized deaths?

I mean....hmmm.

You might be correct. One was a fentanyl overdose that the media turned in a racial firestorm resulting in arson, riots, and murders.

The other one was a media driven murder that resulted in a peaceful protest.

They are not the same. One maintains the moral highground. Or perhaps the meme poster just wanted to illustrate that the left's protests are often violent.

Oooh ohh. You're right. One was a cracked out convict who died of a drug overdose and the other was murdered over what he said.

Ooh oooh. Let me feed this into the woke speak translator. Results: I can't admit that I'm on the wrong side.

Holy fuck… can you think outside of a small minded scope for a second. Were Kirk’s followers systemically fucked up and suppressed for decades by the type of person that killed him?

Think about it for a second. You have one person killed by the police that have a long, long history of racial suppression across the country. The other is a political influencer that caters to white Christian conservatives, the most unoppressed people on the planet. You can see that the reaction of these two groups might be different and you cannot really compare the two.

And before you try and start that white Christian conservatives are suppressed please don’t.

No stupid, I never said those riot were right. I’ve always said they should have been arrested.

I’m simply stating the reactions can not be compared. Stop looking at things in your political lens.

That argument only comes close to holding water if it was only black people burning cities. Not only do I doubt that's the case (I had always assumed the rioters were all sorts of people on the left side of the aisle, not just a particular race), but I don't really know that that makes it better if it is. Here you have a group of people - blacks or liberals, you pick - who believe the correct response to a criminal dying (due to his own choices) is to destroy the homes, businesses, and property of innocent people. How far gone do you need to be to think that you're justified in hurting innocent people because your parents and grandparents faced discrimination? Since when has "well you can understand why he was mad" ever been a legitimate defense for violence and arson?
