People make mistakes, especially the people with the least to fall back on, the least education, and the fewest financial gifts. I'm thinking of foster children, those who get exploited by others, and those most easily manipulated.

Your stance is pious bullshit, in my opinion, of course, but you're still entitled to feel that way.

US abortion restrictions led to an 11% increase in children placed in foster care

I suggest breaking that dismal cycle of misery, but "that's the wrong side", apparently, some right winger on Sherdog said so and they're an "expert"...
My wife and I foster. So does my dad. So does my sister. New borns dont end up in foster care unless they are taken from shit parents. In fact nearly all kids in foster care are taken from shit parents. Id rather those parents give their kids up for adoption at birth than murder them in the womb. But you keep beating the drumb for childrens blood.

That's awesome!

I too have family that foster and have over 18s in staying put placements. Girls. The big fear was pregnancies as they each have learning disability and autism.

It would be an outright lie to say it would be their fault if they fell pregnant as they cannot even legally consent and are going to need appointees their whole lives. They still have autonomy though and could request to move out and probably go to assisted living somewhere if they choose, and that's when it would be even more of a concern.

You will already know that fostered people are far more likely to be assessed as potential parents. The odds are against them in the first instance, but you're certainly right they would be offered support to stay as parents if at al feasible. Naturally with young adults with LD and other disability, who have no familial support of any calibre at all, the onus then falls on to, say, foster family. That will not work at all in some cases, and to simply point to adoption as the next option is naive as fuck.

Adoptive parents are great in theory. It's a lovely sentiment but my wife has worked in fostering and adoption for quite a while and it's sadly the case that adoptive parents often have a super idealised vision of parenthood that does not include genetically derived disability and/or severe trauma. Placement breakdown for children who will never present as normal is remarkably common place.

These children invariably end up in children's homes. These aren't good. They aren't loving homes, and they cannot protect children from exploitation, and they don't give children a sense of self worth. They don't automatically fail, but it's more likely. We know what happens if they fall pregnant to an abuser or a predator.

So... tell me more about banging the drum for children's blood while bizarrely presenting an 'everything is fine ' argument.

It doesn't matter if it's human being or not? Are you suggesting a human being doesn't have a right to life? While there are some legit arguments for abortion, that's not one of them.

It's fucking sick
This is my favorite part of that nonsense post:

This person thought he/she was making an intelligent point, not realizing they lack the awareness that abortion is destroying the body of the baby against the baby's will

But anyway,
