Meet the man behind a third of what's on Wikipedia, wrote 35,000 articles for the site

If my math is right, if he spends an average of 30 seconds per edit (seems too low to me), he's spent an average of 5.5 hours per day every day making edits. Add in time for reading the articles before editing and such, that's probably 8+ hours per day on Wiki. It's sad that someone could think this is a fulfilling life.

Lol and what is a fulfilling life? Snorting coke in a lamborghini while getting a blowjob from a boise dime?

Wasn’t that Canadian guy that got captured with his wife in Afghanistan by the Taliban a serious Wikipedia contributor?

Maybe he was a threat to this Pruitt guy’s record and so Pruitt arranged their capture like Jeff Bridges in the first Iron Man movie. Tony Stark came back with his armour while this guy came back with a bunch of kids.
Pruitt actually works at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, LOL.

Article says he did it in his spare time - so over 13 years he managed 3 million edits and 35000 articles?

I'm not seeing how he did it

i don't know. but man, that to me is a combination of extreme dedication and extreme sadness.

Reminds me of fat sex offender Dennis from Always Sunny.

I had a chemistry teacher that wrote and edited wikipedia articles as a hobby. He saw it as contributing to open access knowledge. Good for him.

I know this guy. A while back I edited Tito Ortiz's wiki down to 'titos a :eek::eek: LOL' and like a flash this dude edited my shit out and banned me from wiki forever. It was savage, but at the end of the day I had to respect the dude

Real respects real.

I like when I come across a funny clever little edit. It's rare that I come across one on my own though.

how is he behind a third of what's on wiki, given that he's written 35k out of millions of wiki articles.
