McGregor spends $44k on Rolex watch for GF

I would have gone with a golden cell phone. Who uses a watch anymore.

I've always thought it was a classless move to constantly brag about money and possessions over social media.

I like conor but he spends $$$ as quick as he gets it. If he doesnt invest or do something on the side i can see him being broke 10 years down the line

Spending too much money on jewelry always seemed like such a waste too me.

I mean 44K for a watch?

At this rate, he'll join the long list of athletes who go broke once they're done in their sport.

He should go to Faber for financial advisement.

Rolex is an average watch. Real high end watches are brands like Patek Philippe. Those watches go from like $150k to $3 million depending on the model.

I'm still glad for Conor and all his success. I look forward to his next fight.

Enough pro athletes have gone broke that I'm surprised some people are so adamant that he won't. It absolutely does happen. Hopefully he'll have his fun for a while and eventually stop pissing it away.
Even more pro athletes don't go broke. It's pointless trying to figure who will and who won't.

After his big Ronda like fall he's going to have to learn quick how to be better with money.

In 20 years will Conor be completely broke. Very few, just like in all sports, of these athletes have careers when they stop competing. The NBA has something like 60% filing for Bankruptcy, I think I saw a stat that said the NFL is closer to 70%. Its great to buy a car for $400k when you are making $5million a year, but once the money stops coming in insuring that car, paying for that house etc etc is just not feasible.
It's actually 78% for NFL but those numbers are misleading. It's not the guys making bank it the average guys that don't get the fat contracts.

There's a thing called white gold...

You think Conor covered a stainless steel rolex in diamonds?

The most gold Rolex ever puts on a DateJust is the bezel and the center links on the bracelet. A DateJust with gold center links and gold bezel retails at 11k. The DateJust is Rolex's low end model. The high end model, the Day-Date is only made with solid precious metal, Gold or Platinum, they retail for 36k. Conor didn't install the diamond bezel, the jeweler did to upsale the watch and move old stock faster which also voids the warranty. Rolex will not even repair a watch with after market parts on it. There is no possible way that watch was 44k when the base price assuming the bezel and center links are gold is 11k. There's no such thing as a solid gold Rolex Datejust model, it does not exist.

are you implying the diamonds are aftermarket?

100%, a Rolex Datejust has never been made from the factory with a diamond bezel. Jewelers add them to make more money and too move old stock.

What a waste of money imo . $44,000.00 on a watch, some of us could get 2 decent cars for that.

I love to see people change into people they're not. Stay grounded

TBF, he has been splashing the cash from day one. He said he uses it as motivation to make more money and not get too comfortable.
