McGregor spends $44k on Rolex watch for GF

It's only classy when The Banker does it.

People are too busy laughing at your arms to look at that watch, it looks like a NYC fugazzi anyway.

i would not feel comfortable walking around with a watch that costs that much. maybe if i had hundreds of millions in the bank. it seems smarter to wear accessories that match your worth.

Says the guy clicking the thread.

Okay kids, let get this straight since some of you are actually children. Some of us aren't kids. We're grown. We've seen what can happen, and we don't want that to to happen to anyone, especially if that person is an entertainer that we like.

And NONE of you really know his finances. You guess and think you know but you don't.

I live in an NFL town - I see people making a lot more than Conor is/has. Some of the things I've learned:

1. They don't pay MSRP for anything
2. Many things they get, are free
3. Many of the the cars and things you see them driving are rentals/loaners or PR deals which allows a guy to live above their salary because they simply aren't paying for it. For some strange reason the richer you are - the more free shit you get.

I went to high school with people who have net worths just under a BILLION dollars - what that's taught me is what you see is RARELY the truth, particularly when it comes to their finances.

I clicked on the thread to see the picture of the watch - I don't CARE that he bought it for the GF but apparently some of you white knights think it's your damned business regarding how Conor and his financial team goes about their business.

Congrats - you saved him!

And how many NFL players are broke within 10 years of retiring? They don't understand that it's a young man's game, and you have to stash enough away to live out the rest of your life.

My cousin played in the NHL. He got a decent $25 million 5-year contract. Got hurt over and over and had to retire at 32. The fanciest car he's owned was Lexus SUV worth slightly more than Conor's watch. He's back in school now and has more than enough to retire.

No, but we can easily make an educated guess, and it's nowhere near Floyd money. Mike Tyson made over $300 million over his career--mostly '80s and '90s dollars; more than $500 million today. Anyway, he's worth less than $1 million now. And Mike Tyson is arguably smarter than Conor.

Any Conor fans in here know which Journo is collaborating with Coach Kav on his upcoming book ?

lol you're crazy...

Dana said Aldo was getting paid less than $4 million and you think they're going to pay Conor more than $10 million?

:D
Source?
I think that was for 189
And yes Conor, I would bet, was paid more

He's a poor mans Floyd.
I personally think he's bored n has nothing better to do than take photos of things he's purchased.

Who am I to judge though...

I will never get the appeal of sparkly diamondy bullshit

Probably has something to do with it being sparkly and shiny. But for reals: the appeal is because of brilliant marketing and a ruthless monopoly, both courtesy of De Beers.

I think that watch looks great. Too bad it wasn't an engagement ring though..

Weak as fuck. What kind of man tries to tell another couple when they should get married. Ridiculous. Do you not have your own personal life to be concerned with?

personally i wouldn't spend 40k on a watch but all the power to him if that makes em happy

looks nice but really that bracelet caught my eye even more wonder how much he paid for that

It's definitely true that for some reason the richer you are the more free shit you get. Which is odd. But it's also true that 50% of NFL players go broke after they retire. Did living in an NFL town teach you that?

Anyway, Conor can spend his money however he wants but, imo, that watch is ugly as fuck. Looks like something someone would wear if they have crappy vision or are trying too hard to impress other people.

If he was smart he'd stay single. According to some of my divorced colleagues, getting married is like putting 75% - 90% of your money in a bag and setting it on fire.
