Media McGregor spasms during Sports Illustrated interview

Breh.

I've had this myself. But, after like a near-death amount of ecstasy / comedown and, other shit. Also when I took endless amounts of high quality meth 2-3 days once... It was very bad. He's fkn TWEAKING...

It's no different than how he looked at the UFC 196 pre-fight press conference:

And I believe both were/are signs of drug use.

I have been telling people for ages that he is an huge cokehead.

The guy better check into rehab soon for his own sake.

At a certain point people will be feeling bad for Conor rather than making fun of the guy. Seems like he has some serious issues.

What real questions are they avoiding? What is there to investigate? Do you have an intelligence deficiency condition? You sound desperate to want to see him lying in a gutter somewhere for some reason.

What is the "reality of his downfall" you want to see and why? The guy just costarred in a major feature film at the highest level. He is still insanely rich, famous, popular, and successful sorry that doesn't seem to fit the false reality you want to believe.
I think you're the one with the intelligence deficiency condition. Why do you think The Smashing Machine is such a highly praised & compelling documentary? Do you actually believe it's because people rejoice seeing someone sabotage and ruin their own life?

Who said anything about him being unsuccessful? This is about his professional athletic career being completely derailed by fame, wealth, money, drugs and alcohol which are a HUGE part of his story, the story the Netflix fluff pieces failed to even address.

Has Hollywood/Mainstream media picked up on this?
Hollywood couldn't give less of a damn about what some washed up fighter is doing while promoting a crappy remake of a B movie.

Outside of a very small number of people, Connor McGregor is nobody. TMZ will show easy clips, like him beating up a sports mascot, but anything that requires a 30 second attention span will be ignored.

Fucking hell, it looks like stereotypical brain damage. His voice is also noticeably lower. He's one of those cases where all that money just completely ruined him.

This thread was the beginning of the end for the McGregor return.

I don't know the details of the UFC's explanation, but you can rest assured that it has EVERYTHING to do with what we're seeing in this interview.

The iceberg analogy is a good one, here. Just think of all the things Conor's done ON CAMERA, and now try to imagine the degeneracy he's been engaged in when the cameras are OFF. There are undoubtedly a million stories about McGregor's partying going so overboard that people were starting to get worried.

Driving drunk.
Passing out in bathroom stalls while trying to do a key-hit of Peruvian flake.
Going AWOL from family and friends for a week while he's doing God Knows What to his body.

I still maintain that he's done for good. He's never going to be a serious combat sports athlete again. He might have a future in bareknuckle since he's an investor and can undoubtedly make bank by crushing cans, but he's never going to be a contender at the highest levels of MMA again.

The injury he sustained was bad enough. A legit career ender.
The abuse he did to his body afterwards was the nail in the coffin. His body is too polluted now.

I've been saying that since before the Cowboy fight.

If you look at his record, he really hasn't done shit since Aldo. He went straight to the big money/superfight route rather than make any effort to build a legacy in any weight class.
He had his series with Nate. He fought Alvarez at the beginning of a 2-4-2 run for Eddie and since then has only beaten an over the hill Cerrone, who was never a contender at his best.

Cokey the Leprechaun has been coasting on charisma and reputation for 8+ years.

Well you can see the injury that has him pulling out of the fight like a pull out merchant has been affecting his life for months now. It's got to be brutal nursing a long term injury that is spiraling out of control.

I didn't know about the falling asleep in a stall or going AWOL but when you live that life AND you have that money?? Yeah, he's never going to be pro fighter level again. If he fights again, it's just to show up his critics, and that's not a good reason to fight again so he probably won't.

Has Hollywood/Mainstream media picked up on this? They luv this kind of stuff and since it's Gyllenhaals co-star and it's happening in an interview with him sitting right next to him it seems like it should make some noise over there.
I think drug use and overdose is rampant enough in Hollywood that Conor is not moving the needle in that crowd.

Yeah. Injury my ass. Dude is nervous, not ready and can't stop smoking crack or w.e tf he's doing.

Is the size disparity that huge between them or is Conor slouching and pulling his shoulders in?

So you agree he's been injuring his nose, liver, and sobriety for months and years now. How can we ask him to fight in such a compromised state??

Yeah definitely severe nasal tissue injury. Quite right, it might compromise his otherwise golden gas tank.
