*** 'McGregor Forever' - Netflix Documentary Discussion Mega Thread ***

If a fighter i don't like has a documentary, i would never waste my time watching or talking about it. So seeing so many losers crying in the comments is funny af

Holy schmokes. I heard ESPN is doing a 30 for 30 on Conor which will also debut on Disney+ and Hulu all at once. I hope they release before Amazon's Proper 12 documentary, which was filmed entirely aboard Jeff Bezos' yacht.

First he united a paper title. Then he united the streaming services. Then he united the world. Conor is the real Wyld Stallyns!

Hard no.

There is tons of MMA in this world to watch. ONE, Rizin, ACA, Bellator, PFL, and more. If you're watching the mcregor documentary over any of those promotions, you're effectively disqualified from calling yourself an MMA fan.
I wouldn't say watching means you ain't a fan, but I definitely don't plan to watch it.

You calling other people losers without being provoked makes it seem like you're projecting tbh, and that's usually the case.

I am gonna check it out.

I liked it

Was it a way to show he had some excuses for losses? Maybe

Did it it leave some of his life out -sure..

but to me I think the message of the documentary (weather you think Conor is a douche or not)
Was his way to show how to never give up even if you keep losing. He kept more or less positive after each loss after a brief feeling down period.

Thought it was interesting to see how he delt with losses positively behind the scenes and weeks/months afterwards.

I found it inspiring - so I guess that makes me a lil' *unt

No man is 100% villain, Hitler for instance was a vegetarian who brought in the first animal rights laws in the world. Saddam Hussein was a wonderful poet who spent most of his free time composing rhymes about nature and god.

Mcgregor, while being a turd does have some affable qualities like his sense of humour, intelligence and ability to communicate with the average Joe.

No he did not.
There has been animal cruelty laws since 1830ish at least.

'MCGREGOR FOR A FEW YEARS'

It was a good run. An epic rise. The fall was sad though. And I ain't talking about losses. Oh well.
And all of it was buypassed in the propaganda docu worthy of Goebbels, no punching an old man, no rape charges, no assaulting fans, no your wife is in me dm, no almost falling out with his coaches, no mafia connections, just a faithful family man who had some bad luck with injuries. Shameful rewriting of history and I see people are gobbling it down

it was just fluff. blatantly hagiographic. they had to leave out about half his life to make him look like even a halfway decent human being, and even then they couldn't really pull it off.

I'd expect all MMA fans will give a watch at least once. It was an interesting watch, don't watch expecting to see a balanced documentary. The hint is in the title, it's called McGregor Forever - it's clearly meant to promote Conor and his legacy. It also let's his fans hang onto the idea that a 100% McGregor would have beaten Khabib and that Khabib ducked a rematch. If it helps those guys get over the collective trauma that Khabib gave them then I'm all for it.
Stfu you fraud nobody gives a shit about your opinion. Your stealing my likes with every post. Khabib never ducked a rematch. He was the the guy that won. Your just glory supporter. You were never McGregor forever. Even though you only started watching mma a year ago. You newb

I watched the 1st 'sode.
Not much we didn't already know but it was interesting seeing him do his community service in a black church in NY.
Also, they really focused on his foot as if that was the reason he lost to Khabib. I guess we knew already his foot was "like a balloon"

I watched it. It was ok. I’m still not a fan of the guy. All I took away from it is that they were enunciating injuries in every camp prior to every fight and how much he hates pulling out of fights. That seemed to be their main point. Trying to win some fans back something. I’m not sure what they were really trying to accomplish with it. Weird time in his career to make something like that.

It's a pretty enjoyable watch - looking forward to his return, hopefully he can beat Chandler and set up some big fights from there

I hate it when people hide the villain that resides in them, because there is one in all of us.

There are plenty of good people in this world.
Un-corrupted by this assumption.

Conor punched an old man... over a drink ... the man never asked for.

Let's be real here and stop feeding delusions
