I'm not sure how many fights Mcgregor is under contract for but if he could fight mayweather without the UFC owning his career he could make more money fighting Floyd than what the entire UFC roster makes in a year.

Hopefully this wakes fighters up that signing lengthy contracts with a promotion that will own you probably isn't the best thing.
 
So, who exactly could pull this off besides McGregor?


Most (almost all) fighters make more in the UFC than they would anywhere else.

Without the UFC owning him McGregor would be scrubbing toilets, collecting welfare cheques and living in his parents, attic. He was this close to retirement before the UFC hype machine took him in. That lengthy UFC contract worked out pretty well for him I reckon.
 
That's how you run a successful business... Contract.
E.G the ufc and mcgregor.
 
Well then he should fight out his contract and leave. Problem with that is hed have to go through a murderers row to be able to be free which he is guaranteed to lose most of those fights which will then bring his value down a ton which will then cause him to lose the opportunity with Floyd. Hes screwed.

Conor would have 0 chance at getting a license to fight Mayweather. Mayweather wouldn't fight for MMA money, so this isn't going to happen.

McGoober fans are getting dumber by the second..

He will never fight Floyd and if he does it´s a freakshow fight. If he could have been anywhere near a belt in boxing he would have stayed with boxing. Floyd would toy with him and KO him.

His piece of the pie in a Floyd fight would be minor. Not some fantastic 80 mill or what the fuck ever.

Without the UFC he would be a fucking plumber living in a trailer in bumfuck county Ireland.

How much money was he making in CR?

With out the UFC nobody would to this day have known who Conor is and he would probably be looking for a second job since CR do not pay that well.

Just hypothesizing here, If there's no UFC in Conners life how on earth does he fight Floyd for" sneaker money" ???

No UFC, essentially means no Connor...
Bellator's marketing is no where as far reaching as the UFC's and if Connor is in the Bellator's org there's a good chance he'd be trying to grass hop over to greener pastures (UFC)

Also to even think he's going to be able to dictate anything and I mean any detail to Floyd is crazy...

Floyd maybe a lot things, but he's a better business man than most athletes in the game today..

So to think Connor is going to make this crazy amount is all dependent on what and how much Floyd decides he will allow him to make ...

So in essence Connor is owned whether he likes it or not... He'll show up for every presser and do what ever else Floyd wants him to do..

As for this thread. Conner would be nothing without the ufc, and he is pretty much filthy rich. He has only been fighting in the UFC for a few years, and has made a ton of money.

Anyone who fights Conner will make a ton of money. Diaz a good exsmple.

Conner now will always make money, win or lose.

The reason being, is that even the haters can't stop talking and watching him.
