It's extremely rare for a ref to get in trouble with whatever governing body is overseeing the event; the only one I can think of was the Brazilian commission being upset with Mario Yamasaki for his officiating in the Shevchenko/Cachoeira fight.

Herb's rationale for not taking points was not wanting to affect/interrupt the course of the fight, in spite of the fouls from McGregor already doing that and in spite of the fact that points can be taken without pausing the action or standing fighters up (See Ortiz vs. Evans).

It will never not be funny when Conor fans talk about the, "success" he had in a fight where he actually should've been disqualified. That had to be the dirtiest performance I've ever seen in a championship fight. It wasn't bending the rules with veteran savvy either, the man was cheating out of desperation and fear.

If people are going to keep talking about this fight or a potential rematch, then the blatant and pathetic cheating that went on should remain a huge part of the conversation.
