They don't pay Tony the amount of money they do to have him in easy fights. He's getting another Top 10 opponent or maybe even Makachev.

zero chance he is cut after stepping help to help the UFC in last couple of fights. I think he will also draw a lot of interest if matched against the right person. He will definitely get at least one more fight before these discussions start.

It wouldn't be tragic since he's had such a long career. I would disagree with cutting him, since I bet there are at least 20+ fighters that deserve to be cut more than him. "2 fight skid" The man showed serious heart in the previous fight, and I'd like to see medical records on his recent fight, because it looked like he continued fighting with hyperextended arm

Almost better to be Ko'd and claim lucky punch it feels with the way people talk.

Also don't think Tony is hard for UFC to deal with, his fights seem to happen pretty easily unlike other fighters holding out (maybe to his own detriment).

The two weight Cuts affect Tony performance against Justin and then Oliveria proved everyone that he is better than Tony
 
If you're a fan of a guy and he leaves, you can still watch him fight against good guys somewhere else. It'll be okay.

If you're a fan of a MLB guy and he gets sent down, you're not seeing him play unless you buy a ticket to the game.

I'd be surprised if they let Tony go, but I get the possibility that anything can happen.
