Bas has been involved in 33 fights with 28 finishes. This Roxanne broad has been to a decision in 26 of her 39 fights

Bas has 3 losses, that broad has 16

They don't fight at all alike and look nothing like each other

The point is, she's a known commodity in the MMA community that's been fighting for nearly 2 decades. And if you want to build someone up, like M. Barber, you need to have her fight someone with a name.

We aren't talking about me...we are talking about her...I never claimed to be a pro fighter...she is, and her skills are pathetic...if I saw roxanne hitting the pads, id' think she was some chick just starting out and taking boxing lessons...and while I may not be a pro fighter, i was a martial artist since 9 years old..I fought in the golden gloves(boxing), I did kickboxing for 15 years. and also submission wrestling...so I know a few things.

Aren't they trying to push her forward? I mean I know Roxy is a vet and ranked, but she is the least technical striker I have seen in MMA. I don't know how she is still in the UFC TBH.

Seems like UFC just want Maycee in the rankings and hoping she steam rolls her for some more hype.

I think it’s the opposite if she's going to become the youngest champion these are the fights she needs and needs to win. A win here maybe jumps her in the top 7, then maybe a maia or Calderwood and she can talk about being a contender.

If Barber truly is the real deal she could beat Mofaferri, and a win over a name like Modaferri, who fought for the title before, could put her in a good position for a title push...

But Modaferri has beaten undefeated hyped up prospects before, and I wouldn’t be the least bit shocked if she repeats that against Barber...

Because you haven't been fighting professionally for 20 some years all around the world.

get it? no one knows you. but people know Roxy.

not really sure how my experience is relevant....I noticed people sometimes bring up a posters fighting experience level, when talking about pro fighters...I don't get it...what does mine or any fan's fight experience have to do with it?...some of the best boxing experts around today, have never boxed in their life...but that doesn't mean they don't know boxing...

boxing wise, id put my technique against roxies any day of the week...

You also have to account for which fighters are hurt and won't be ready in 2 months.

do you remember roxy beating valentina's sister recently? Not a good post at all

Roxy is tough as nails, you submit her (much easier said than done) or slam her head against the floor if you hope to finish her.

I see this going the same way Suarez vs Ansaroff went, only this time Barber is better on the feet than on the ground. Suarez couldn't do shit to Ansaroff on the ground, and she is this highly touted Olympic level wrestler. As soon as Nina got comfortable on the feet, she almost finished Tatiana.

Maycee might look good on the feet, but she's never faced someone as unorthodox as Roxane. Antonina Shevchenko couldn't pierce Roxy up, Barber won't do shit unless she goes balls to the wall and overwhelms Roxane on the opening 15 seconds. If it goes to the ground, Roxy probably wins based on control or even a sneaky submission.

Maycee might be strong and a savage, but she's careless and has poor technique. I'm going with Modafferi in this, and I mean it.
