Roxy has a win over Coenen, who went four rounds with peak Cyborg, she stopped a girl who beat Nunes, she's fought 135 pounders and title challengers at 3 weights. Do you really think she's going to lose sleep about fighting an overweight straw who can't keep the weight off her backside?

Now I hope Barber wins because youth must have it's day and she brings eyes to the sport and excites the casuals, but really this is a step up for her. Oh and if Modafferi does pick up an inside the distance win it'll more likely be via hellbows rather than a sub. Interesting matchup.

So you haven't seen Ben Askren or Cindy Dandois? Roxy is not a good striker, but definitely not the worst in the UFC by any metric.

Also, she's still in the UFC because she defeated the previously unbeaten Antonina Shevchenko and she stopped the former champion Barb Honchack. Good enough to be top 10 in her division.

Yeah but Ben Askren had a nice timed uppercut on Maia. Demian credited Bens striking on Helwani, lol. Shows how nice of a guy he is.

Roxanne is the type of chick, you'd see in high school, that was picked dead last on any team in gym class...the kind that would be sitting in the corner reading a romance or star wars novel...she is the most unathletic female I've ever seen...and barber will murder her inside 1 round...how chicks like that are still in the ufc is a total shame...if any male fighter fought like her, he wouldn't even be allowed in cage warriors, never mind the ufc.

Aren't they trying to push her forward? I mean I know Roxy is a vet and ranked, but she is the least technical striker I have seen in MMA. I don't know how she is still in the UFC TBH.

Seems like UFC just want Maycee in the rankings and hoping she steam rolls her for some more hype.

I agree , but getting title shot has little to do....... unless Roxanne gives barber fight of her life which is not happening. Maycee going to walk right through and has that " it" factor..... big time and Dana knows it.
