They're both aggressive and will have full training camps. Grasso frustrated Barber via movement and distance control. Versus Maverick, Barber shouldn't have as much trouble finding her range. I like Maverick's grit and confidence. She stays prepared & thus far has met every challenge. Maycee hits hard and is no slouch on the ground. A question is whether she'll come out strong & stay focused throughout. I'd say it's a pick 'em or slight edge to Barber.

Pretty sure when you're in a PHD program you're required to teach classes. Not 100% on that, I could be wrong. My buddy that just got into a PHD program said he'll be teaching while doing his own course work. Either way pretty fucking impressive for her to be doing all of that while competing in the UFC.

I would say its early to say she's a bust. But she is def not what the UFC was hoping for. Going into the Roxy fight she was 3-0 on UFC cards, with a win on the contender series. All 3 fights were on the main cards, they were doing full 45-50min one on one interviews with her about her road to the title and her becoming the youngest UFC champion. They were hoping they had their next star and now she's got a huge challenge on her hands to avoid a 3 fight losing streak.

Winnable fight for Barber, but why risk putting a hyped young fighter on a possible 3 fight losing streak? Give her an easy matchup or two (and there are many in this division) and then make this fight. People have opinions on her one way or another, and know the name, which makes her more valuable than the vast majority of the women's roster. She's clearly not as good as she was promoted to be (both by herself and the UFC), and is going to need more time to fix her many weaknesses. Why not give her the time to do so?
