I started watching it but fuck the commentary was painful. Amazing feat though.Why isn't anyone talking about Alex Honold free soloing the Taipei 101 skyscraper? that shit is absolutely insane. I remember being really invested in the doc when he climbed El Capitan in Yosemite National Park years ago. I don't know which one is crazier tbh.

I actually haven't watched the full Netflix thing just tons of clips here and there. It's so crazy that it was even legalized these dudes always get arrested immediately afterwards. It's so funny the part that freaks me out the most is how he just steps up and stands on that small dome at the top. Shit I'd fall off that thing if it was on the fucking ground. The dude just has supreme confidence it's bewildering.
His climb of El Capitan was crazy too you should watch that. he said the building was easier because the structure had a lot of similarities all the way up but the the cliff had way more unexpected challenges due to the different rock shapes and such. Both are equally crazy to me. Hew said he didn't want the Taipei climb to define him but he's a father now so he should retire. It would be horrible for those two little girls to grow up without their father. His luck will run out eventually. imho
Have seen Free Solo, I really enjoyed that. I agree he should give it up, one mistake and he's dead. Dude proved his point, he should go back to roped climbs.
