Went to an audio show today and listened to the LCD-2 and FT5 among many others. I liked the LCD-2 more, FT5 got a bit flabby and out of control in the bass and there was something a bit wonky in the midrange. LCD-2 was darn good, it's warmer & more forgiving than my LCD-XC along with having fatter bass, it's a nice fun sound which sounds good with pretty much any kind of music. I definitely get why it's Audeze's most popular headphone, it does a lot of things right and doesn't mess up the music.

That sounds good. There is another one that caught my eye since I made that post.

The Focal Hadenys, I read more about thye FT5 and am hesitant on getting it now

I listened to most of the Focal lineup as well including the Hadenys, they're all good and you can't go wrong with any of them. I think the LCD-2 and Hadenys are more alike than different which was kinda surprising since they're from opposite sides of the world with completely different technologies. I'd say the main difference is weight & comfort, the Hadenys is lighter & more comfy so you can wear them for hours, with Audezes you'll likely start feeling the weight after a couple hours.
 
Wife left this morning and gonna be staying with her sister for 2 weeks. I'm stuck with 2 college kids who wouldn't get up and have breakfast with me.
