They don't say what type of ATV it was but most I've seen have pedals that hang down and I don't know how the dog can push it. Is this like "The dog ate my homework" excuse?

Yeah it’s a therapeutic horse riding group for kids on the autism spectrum. I volunteer there most Friday afternoons. Great way to wind down the week.
